Abstract

The simulator, designed to represent a loss of adhesion in different road surface conditions, consists of a truck with a tubular chassis, made to fit beneath one of the vehicle's rear wheels. The truck has two transverse bars (2) and two lengthwise guides (3), of which one is adjustable to the width of the vehicle's tyre. The chassis (1) has two pivoted and adjustable plates (5), and is supported by four pivoting rollers (8) with springs.
