Abstract

The brush has a thrust element (2) to co-operate with a spring (3) applying a pressure to the brush (1), consisting of a pad (4) of a vibration absorbing material which is fixed to the brush and has a thrust plate (5) for the spring fixed to it. The vibration absorbing pad is made from a silicone-based material, and the pad and brush are fixed together by a matching projection and recess joined by a force fit. The thrust plate has holes to receive fixing studs on the pad, made by over-moulding.
