Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to an improved palette. Most

  pallets existing today on the market for the palletization of goods consist essentially of a base formed of transverse wooden slats supported by beams also made of wood. The elements are joined by nails and the assembly is carried out pneumatically or so

similar.

  According to the invention, the pallet is made of plastic material using a mixture of polyethylene and polypropylene to form a single block or a structure which has the following advantages compared to pallets made of wood of the prior art: * The resistance obtained for the pallet is uniform in the sense that the injection system makes it possible to dose the components in order to make the resistance of the pallet uniform. In existing wooden pallets, there may be wooden transverse slats which are deteriorated since wood is a "living" material with knots and veins which make it impossible to obtain uniform strength and

product continues.

  * The pallet of the invention makes it possible to obtain a significant reduction in weight, since manufacturing by injection reduces the weight by at least half. * Injection avoids the disadvantages due to occasional bursts and the presence of nail heads which appear in conventional pallets and scratch the products stored on the pallets, which can also be the cause of accidents for operators who

handle them.

During the injection also, a reinforcement system can be added using for example fiberglass which will undoubtedly increase

resistance.

  * The continuous surface of the pallet can be treated in a rough or grainy way so that the merchandise which it supports does not slip and it can also present perforations, distributed evenly or not, so as to reduce the weight or lower the

manufacturing cost.

  * The manufacturing system allows cleaning and washing with soaps and detergents and also brushing if necessary, which is difficult with commonly known wooden pallets that water can deteriorate, swell or deform. The pallet of the invention can be stored outside without providing

  no additional protection.

  * Unlike known wooden pallets, the pallets of the invention may have the advantage of being marked with the user's emblem or logo, either with paint, taking into account the large surface of the new palette, either molding and

  indelible at the time of injection.

  * The mixtures of polypropylene and polyethylene and certain additives to these mixtures make the pallets non-flammable, which constitutes an important advantage from the point of view of safety compared to

  wooden pallets currently on the market.

  * Moisture and impact resistance makes pallets easier to handle, and they are also hygienic and well ventilated with a minimum and constant weight, and they can be manufactured

in any color.

  In addition, the pallet of the invention may have an additional thickness, dimensions and details which may vary depending on the use, the loads to be palletized, the pallet being in one piece, manufactured by injection with the advantages

indicated above.

  According to the invention, the pallet is constituted by a one-piece body, made of plastic material essentially consisting of a mixture of

polyethylene and polypropylene.

  The pallet preferably has a quadrangular surface and one of its faces carries, projecting, prismatic elements directed transversely, perpendicular to its surface and parallel to each other, these prismatic elements being arranged at the ends and in the central part, defining complementary grooves for forks

  lifting machines of this type.

  In order to better understand not only the manufacture but also the utility and the use of the palette of the invention, reference will be made below to a practical example of manufacture, this example being only illustrative and in no way limiting. In the drawings: Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a pallet according to the invention; Figure 2 shows a front view of the upper face; Figure 3 shows a side view of the pallet. Referring to the drawings, we have

  referenced in 1 a palette of the invention.

  Pallet 1 is made up of a single body 2

  having a quadrangular portion 3 of reduced height.

  One of the sides constituting the underside of the pallet, referenced 4, has certain parts

  protruding prismatics referenced 5 and 6.

  Parts 5 are located at the ends and part 6 is placed in the center so that between each of

  two consecutive parts of the spaces 7 are defined.

  The upper face 8 of the quadrangular part 3 constitutes the support surface for the load. Of course, many variants and modifications in the form and construction of the elements described above can be made without departing from the scope of the invention.

Improved pallet characterized in that it consists of a single body (1) formed in a single piece molded in plastic material essentially in a mixture of polyethylene and polypropylene, having a flat quadrangular part (8) of reduced height a face of which project a series of prismatic elements parallel to each other (5, 6) between which are defined spaces (7) for the introduction of mechanical elements making it possible to lift the load   placed on the upper side of the body.   2. Pallet according to claim 1 characterized in that the flat quadrangular upper face has perforations, roughness on its surface and / or granulation.
