Abstract

The bindings are each on a plate (1) which pivots round a vertical axis and is above a plate (3) that is fixed to the snow board. The fixed plate has peripheral holes round a circle in which a mobile rod (9) can engage and it is held in by a spring (10). The upper end of the rod is joined to the end of a cord (12). Its other end is joined to a strap which is fixed round the user's thigh. The rod is released by pulling the cord so that the foot can be orientated.
