Abstract

The lamp includes the band of gelatine (5) able to act as a colour filter and resistant to high temperatures which is mounted on spring loaded drive rollers (2) and a guide roller (6). The drive rollers are propelled by electric motors (1) such that light from the lamp (8) passes through the gelatine. The electric motors (1) are remotely controlled by a light sensor adjacent to the lamp and the travel of the gelatine is limited by an end of travel switch (13) or a timer (14). A protective glass (9) reduces the heat reaching the gelatine and further cooling is provided by slits (11) in the reflector (10).
