Abstract

The fixing consists of a cylindrical central support (6,7) with an inner recess (10) to receive a ball joint (5) connected to a supporting structure (3), and an outer annular element (8) lying in the equatorial plane of the spherical recess, which has thrust faces to interact with the glass panes (2a,b). The spherical recess is connected to the interior space containing the supporting structure through a channel (9) with its axis lying perpendicular to the glass panes and containing a supporting rod (4) which connects the ball joint to the supporting structure. The outer annular element is in the shape of a disc which is made from the same material as the central support, and the opposite faces of the disc have concentric grooves (14,17,19) for seals and thrust elements.
