Abstract

The invention relates to a device enabling the persons working on the profiling and tube-forming machines to be protected from any risk of injury and accident. It consists of a set of movable casings and a vertical panel (10) which can move, by a rotation through 1/4 of a revolution, so as to be inside a horizontal panel (11). This panel (11) moves horizontally. In the casing-closed position, the active part of the machine is entirely inaccessible and the operator is protected. In the casing-open position, the machine is entirely accessible.

Description

Protective devices for profiling machines and tubes.

 The present invention relates to improvements in profiling machines and tubes comprising at least one profiling cage which rests on the frame of the machine and which has profiling rollers carried respectively by two parallel shafts and which rotate in bearings supported in two cage uprights like a rolling mill.

 During the operation of the Profiler or tube machine, the user must not be allowed to touch the rollers in any way. However, it is necessary to be able to access the profiling rollers quickly and safely, either to make an adjustment or change tools for a new manufacturing.

 The subject of the invention is a protective casing with quick, simple opening and operation requiring no significant physical effort, the opening being done manually.

 The object of the invention is also to associate with this improvement various other auxiliary devices, opening and closing of the casings by motorized control, safety contacts which prohibit the starting of the Machine during the opening of the casings.

 In accordance with the invention, the casings can be made of different materials which are grids, transparent materials and for certain parts of opaque material.

Schematically represents a section of a profiling machine on a frame (1) is fixed on one side the gearbox (2) which by two cardan shafts (3) and (4) transmits the driving rotation to the set of forming rollers ( 5) carried by two horizontal shafts (6) and (7) mounted between two vertical arches (8) and (9).

For a section (2) (3) and (4) represent the driving part (5) - (6) - (8) and (9) represent the operational part, it is integral with the removable interchangeable plate (13) and fixed on the frame (1) the plate (13) receives several operational units.

 The section is completely under the cowling divided into three, a flat vertical panel (10), a flat horizontal panel (11) and dihedral-shaped casing (12).

The casing (12) is secured to the frame (1) by a bolt which is not shown.

 Figures 1 and 2 show a front view of the same cover that covers the entire length of the machine: this cover is divided into a number of segments due to the dimensions of the machine, the services required and the maneuverability of the panels, each segment is divided into panels (10), (11) and housings (12).

The panel (11) moves back and forth on a set of two times three rollers (15), a stop (14) manually controlled holding in position.

In the thickness of the panel (11) a carriage with four rollers (13) movable in the transverse direction. The vertical panel (10) is articulated at the end of the carriage (11). By lifting the vertical panel (10) and pushing it, it enters the horizontal panel (11). By unlocking the stop (14) and continuing to push the horizontal panel (11) moves back and completely uncovers the work table of the profiling machine.

Claims (5)

1. Safety device for profiling machine and tubes, of the type comprising a protective casing which can be opened to allow access to at least one profiling cage resting on the frame of the machine and having profiling rollers mounted on parallel shafts, characterized in that said casing comprises a horizontal panel (11) mounted on rollers (15), said horizontal panel (11) carrying, on rollers, a mobile carriage (13) on which is articulated a panel (10) which can be lowered into a vertical position when said movable carriage (13) is pushed forward of the machine. 2. Safety device according to claim 1, characterized in that the sliding of said horizontal panel (1) is limited to the rear by a stop (14) with manual control. 3. Safety device according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that said movable carriage (13) is mounted in the thickness of the horizontal panel (1). 4. Safety device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it further comprises a fixed casing (12) integral with the frame (1) of the machine. 5. Safety device according to claim 4, characterized in that the panels (fi, 11) and / or the fixed casing (12) are covered with mesh.
