Abstract

The certificate consists of a layer of backing paper with a coating on its front face, a layer of microcapsules, and a second coating over one portion of the surface. The front face of the backing layer is covered with a transparent layer (6) coated on both sides (7a,7b) with an adhesive, and the outer face (7a) of this has a protective film covering (8). The film covering (8) is inscribed with particulars, e.g. relating to a vehicle or driver, which appear on the specially-coated backing paper. The film layer can then be removed and the certificate stuck to a transparent material, e.g. a vehicle windscreen, so that the inscribed details are visible from the outside. USE/ADVANTAGE - Uses materials which prevent details inscribed from being altered or falsified.

Description

 The present invention relates to a self-adhesive and tamper-proof sticker. We know that for years it has become compulsory to affix car Tax stickers as well as stickers issued by insurance companies to vehicles in order to facilitate their control by the public authorities.

 Regarding car tax stickers, it is currently impossible to write the vehicle registration number on the part that sticks to the interior of the vehicle.

 As with insurance labels, it is easy for the user or the owner of the vehicle to be able to modify the validity dates or the registration number of the car.

 The creation of self-adhesive and tamper-proof stickers poses a certain number of problems so that they remain practical for both the insured and the issuing establishment.

 One of the aims of the present invention makes it possible, for example, to be able to indicate on the French automobile tax sticker the registration number of the vehicle, without changing the current manufacture or the principle thereof.

 It also makes the compulsory auto insurance sticker self-adhesive and tamper-proof.

 The self-adhesive and tamper-proof sticker according to the invention consists of a paper support having undergone two specific treatments, on which a sheet of transparent plastic has been deposited, the two faces of which are coated with adhesive substance, one of these two sides being applied to the paper backing, while on the other side is fixed a detachable protective film thus allowing to preserve all its adhesive properties the sticker.

 Thus, in the case of the use of a sticker by a motorist, it may be stuck on the internal face of a windshield after having removed the protective film, in this way leaving the information visible from outside the vehicle.

 In the case of motorcyclists, it will be necessary to deposit the transparent plastic sheet coated with glue and the protective film on the back of the treated paper support and we come to put on the front a transparent plastic sheet coated on one of these two faces of adhesive substance applied to the paper in order to protect the specific treatments.

 1 - The self-adhesive and tamper-proof sticker consisting of a paper support specially treated with two coatings (1) (2), on its front part is deposited a sheet of transparent material (6), the two sides (7a) and (7b) are coated with adhesive substance, this sheet (6) being glued to the paper by its face (7b), the face (7a) being protected by a protective film (8), on which we will write the personalized indications which will be written on coated paper (1) (2) before removal and positioning on any type of translucent product.

For example (Figure 1) an insurance receipt whose entire surface of the paper having a receiving coating formed by microcapsules called "CF" (1), then a sensitizing solution (2) is deposited on part of the surface of the paper.

The document (3) is printed on the sticker and the receipt, the perforations (4) allow the removal of said sticker from the paper support, the divisions (5) of the sticker accentuating the difficulty of removing it after definitive collage.

The sheet of transparent material (Figure 2) (6) coated on its two faces with adhesive substance (7a) (7b) of which one of its faces is protected by a protective film (8), the assembly coming to stick on the part planned its effect on paper (Figurel).

 The adhesive substance (7a) will allow the subsequent bonding of the sticker on the windshield of the vehicle after removing the protective support (8).

 The entire constitution of the sticker is shown in section A.

 An application for motorcyclists and moped riders (Fig5) which first involves placing the label (Figure 2) on the back of the paper and sticking a transparent label (9) on the front, one side of which is covered with adhesive substance (10) which comes to stick on the place planned its effect.

 The sticker according to the invention is intended to receive by simple pressure on the top of the protective support (8) of a pen, a typewriter or any other process, information which will become visible and an integral part of the paper after having removed the protective film (8).

 The sticker can be affixed (7a) to all types of windows, windshields or transparent supports.

 It thus becomes impossible to modify the text or the information given, indicated.

 The invention will also make it possible to no longer be able to indicate information after final positioning without altering the paper as well as the treatments carried out (1) (2), making possible fraud visible.

 By these partial or total perforations, or pre-cuts, the sticker is made more sensitive to take-off attempts increasing the risks of tears or damage.

Here are some possible applications:
a) Insurance certificate including a detachable sticker (Fig 3) to be affixed inside a vehicle on the windshield.
b) Insurance certificate for two-wheeled vehicles requiring the affixing of the insurance sticker (Fig 5).
c) Tax stickers on automobiles, the invention would allow the registration number of the vehicle concerned to be entered on the
part which is glued to the windshield without changing its use, avoiding
thus thefts and number plate number changes.
d) Vignettes allowing the identification of vehicles, in reserved or priority parking lots by affixing a badge with all the desired indications on the interior part of the windshield.
e) Labels intended to be affixed inside packages of transparent plastic materials such as blister shells, cellophanes, PVC, thermoforms, making it possible to identify bar codes, product references or prices without being able to damage, remove or falsify the latter.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments and designs which have just been described and shown.

 Many modifications of details can be made without departing from the scope of the invention.

 It is recalled that the first coating of the paper called "CF" is a conventional receiving coating, and that the second coating which partially covers the surface of the paper is called "autonomous".

Claims (4)

 1 - Self-adhesive and tamper-proof sticker, characterized in that it consists of a paper support specially treated with a first coating (1), which covers the entire front surface of the paper, so-called "CF" coating, formed by microcapsules and a second coating (2) which covers only part of the surface of the so-called "autonomous" paper support which further sensitizes said part.  On its front part is deposited a sheet of transparent material (6), the two faces (7a) and (7b) of which are coated with adhesive substance, this sheet (6) being glued to the paper by its face (7b), the face ( 7a) being protected by a protective film (8), on which personalized indications will be written, by transcription on the coated paper (l) (2) before its removal and positioning of the assembly obtained (1 + 2 + 6 + 7b) on any type of translucent product.  2 - Self-adhesive and tamper-proof sticker according to claim 1, characterized in that the sticker is intended for two-wheeled vehicles, by affixing the transparent sheet (6) glued to the back of the paper support thus allowing etque adhesion. on the front is deposited a second transparent sheet (9) coated only on one face with adhesive substance (10) which is deposited in its intended location.  3 - Self-adhesive and tamper-proof sticker according to claim 1, characterized by its perforations (4) allowing the detachment of the sticker from the paper support, and by the possibility of dividing the latter by partial or total perforations or precut (5).  4 - Self-adhesive and tamper-proof sticker according to claim 1, characterized in that the paper support undergoes two specific treatments, the first coating (1) is carried out over the entire surface of the support, receptor coating formed by microcapsules, so-called paper " CF ".  The second treatment of the Papers CF applies on a part of the surface, that intended for the production of the sticker, by a coating (2), a so-called "autonomous" solution.
