Abstract

The invention relates to an electric iron which includes a pressurised-water supply tube 2, a heating sole-plate 3 comprising a steam generator equipped with a drop-by-drop flow device 5 in a water distributor 6 of the type having an adjustable flow rate, and a water spray device 10 placed at the front of the iron. According to the invention, the water spray device 10 is connected to the pressurised-water supply tube 2 via a pipe which includes an opening/closing means 12 controlled by a user in order to adjust the passage of water. The invention applies to irons supplied by an independent water generator.
