Abstract

The permanent survey marker consists of a tubular stake (1), for hammering into the ground, with pointed end (2) and moveable flukes (3) fitting in slots (4).The top of the upper narrower part (17) is flattened out providing seating for the head (10), which is fixed with a threaded shaft (19) through a hole (14) in the head centre with top (20) and bottom (21) nuts. The top of the head has a shallow recess (12) for a flush fitting plate held with two screws. A stopper is provided for pressure fitting in the circular hole which houses the upper nut (20).
