Abstract

The temp. sensor (1) comprises a sensitive loop (2) of an electrical conductor carried within a protective sheath (3). A plug (4) is provided for external connection. The loop (2) is located within a housing (9) cut from a block (6) forming the body of the box (5). A lid (7) is hinged (8) to the plate (6). When the lid is closed, a centrally-placed stud (13) enters the sensor loop (12) and further stud fasteners (16) on the lid engage with sockets (15) in the block. The bottom of the plate is covered by a self-adhesive layer (17). USE/ADVANTAGE - Eg for testing resistance to heating by solar radiation eg for vehicle.
