Abstract

The plant has a fusion bath (5) which is equipped with a heater (9) and connected at the top with one end of a rotary kiln (3) via a duct (7) with a gas feed (6).The waste material is fed into the opposite end of the kiln via an intake (2) with a lock-chamber. The kiln slopes downwards towards the fusion bath, and its upper end is connected to a post-combustion chamber (13).The heater (9) can be in the form of an electric burner, an oxygen burner, a reheated combustion air burner or a plasma torch.The fusion bath has its largest dimension situated horizontally and more than double its height.
