Abstract

The watch for biorhythms is notable in that it indicates at any moment the relative level of positivity or indeed negativity assumed by the psychophysical conditions of an individual, this indication preferably being gleaned from a link in accordance with three distinct speed ratios (1:552, 1:672, 1:792) of mechanical or electronic indicator means (10-11) with respect to a base speed related to the calculation of the time, this base speed starting from a reference position being able to be identified on the dial of the watch (5) and being able to be set in advance on the basis of exterior auxiliary indications defining values of relative positivity of three biorhythmic cycles corresponding to the total time elapsed since the moment of birth.

WATCH FOR BIORYTHMES
Watch indicating time parameters that can be associated with physiological biorhythms.

 As we know, the human organism is subject to variations in its energy levels constituting the functional rhythms inherent in its intellectual capacities, its physical strength and its emotivity, the latter signifying an availability for joy or sadness.

 Among these functional rhythms, three of particular importance have been identified: the "masculine solar" rhythm having a wavelength of 23 days; the "lunar female" rhythm having a wavelength of 28 days; the "mercurial intellectual" rhythm of 33 days. The male rhythm has an influence on the physical, that is to say health; the female rhythm has an influence on the psyche, that is to say, the emotions and feelings; the intellectual rhythm has an influence on the faculty of reasoning. These three different rhythms can be represented by three sinusoidal curves, expressing the variations in the amplitudes of the energy levels; these curves can intersect and periodically overlap between houses.

The quoted amplitudes have exclusively reference values, for which they can be expressed according to any ratio: on a certain day of the cycle, there will always be the same level of positivity or negativity. Such rhythms have been demonstrated by Fliess and
Telcher. Such biorhythms explain certain apparently incomprehensible human behaviors, certain singular affinities or repulsions, tendencies, intellectual orientations.

 These make it possible to harmoniously associate different people, as well as to establish in advance the fertile days of the woman and the sex of the child who is going to be born. From this, one can therefore understand the great importance of knowledge of biorhythms.

 Such frequencies are rigorously constant and their onset coincides with the time of birth. At any time on any day, it is therefore possible to know which amplitude value of each constituent wave of the three cycles is present in a certain individual: it suffices to calculate mathematically how many times the period of each cycle is contained in the total life that has elapsed up to a given time.

 In other words, what is currently done by means of tables and other mathematical instruments.

 This usual way of proceeding today is obviously very laborious, lacking in practicality, so that, although we have theoretical knowledge capable of helping man by making him program his social activities in an advantageous way. professional or sporting, this knowledge cannot be used in practice because of the practical difficulties encountered in knowing the alternation of the energy levels or biorhythms mentioned.

 The aim of the present invention is to produce an instrument making it possible at any time, on any day, to know the relative value, positive or negative, corresponding to one or all of the three physiological cycles linked to the usual biorhythms. .

 Another goal is to make an instrument that is small and easily transportable anywhere.

 Another aim is to make an instrument which can draw its own movement from devices used for other functions.

 Another goal is to make an instrument having the usual indications of the hour and minutes associated with other dials inherent in biorhythms, without creating confusion.

 Another goal is to make an instrument that the individual is obliged to always carry with him, to use it even in moments of unexpected curiosity, without submitting to particular sacrifices.

 Another aim is to visualize the energy level of the moment in an immediately understandable analog manner.

 Another aim is to indicate the level cited for the whole period of the cycle.

 These aims and others will appear to be reached from reading the following detailed description, illustrating a watch having the particularity of indicating at all times at what relative level of positivity or negativity the psycho-physical conditions of a certain individual with regard to his intellectual cycle and / or his emotional cycle and / or his physical cycle, this indication preferably being taken from a link according to three distinct speed ratios of mechanical or electronic means indicating with respect to a speed basic, starting from a reference position which can be identified on the watch face and which can be established in advance on the basis of external auxiliary indications, defining the relative positivity values of the three cycles, corresponding to the total time elapsed from the moment of birth, the so-called indicator means being able to be synchronized with the theoretical speed of the cycles respective.

 Such an invention can be carried out with the same known techniques as those of watchmaking: mechanical, electromechanical, electronic.

 As for the usual watches, such a watch for biorhythms must indeed be able to count time, so that has a period of time corresponding to the wavelength of the cycle (23 days, or 28 days, or 33 days) , reference values can express one of their variations of the wave type: from a zero value to a positive maximum value, then decreasing to zero to descend to a negative maximum value, from which to increase until reaching again zero.

 Such a variation can therefore be expressed in different ways, both analog and digital.

 Among the most intuitive possible analog methods, some have been described in Figures 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 attached, applied to typical watch cases.

 The texts written in the figures do not constitute explanatory factors for these, but rather intrinsic expressive means of the invention and the subject of specific claims of the technical-didactic aspects thereof.

 Fig. 1, on the other hand, presents a mechanical solution drawing the movements of three biorhythm watches from a common motor shaft, probably from a usual watch which counts the hours.  The transmission ratio of the toothed wheel 4, hypothetically inherent in the intellectual cycle, always compared to the cited wheel wedged on the motor shaft of the hour hand, is 2 x 12 x 33 = 792.

 Given the high value of the reduction ratios cited, it is understood that the wheel 1 indicated in fig. 1 cannot be a wheel set directly on the shaft of the hour hand, but rather must necessarily be a wheel which, with respect to this shaft, has already undergone a very high reduction in angular speed.

 Or it can be deduced therefrom that this wheel 1 must be equipped with a small clean electric motor, which has a rotational speed electronically synchronized with the rotational speed of the motor shaft of the hour hand.

Fig. 2 represents a normal watch 5 supplemented by a rotating hand 6 in its reference dial divided by a transverse line 7, indicative of "critical biorhythm phases" 8 and 9 linked to the change from positivity to negativity and vice versa, in half differentiated halves 10 and 11; one (10) will express the positivity, the other (11) the negativity of a single cycle, expressed by a full revolution of the needle
The type of watch illustrated in fig. 2 refers to a single rhythm, and more precisely to the only "physical rhythm"; this is why, in addition to performing the functions of a traditional watch by means of an hour hand 12 and a minute hand 13 relating to a time scale 5, such a watch fulfills the function of energy level indicator with regard to the physical cycle. This can be deduced from the fact that the biorhythmic scale represented is divided into twenty-three parts. This can also be deduced from a series of explanatory inscriptions. In addition to the non-specific inscriptions "POSITIVE" and "NEGATIVE", as well as + signs and indicated on edge 16 referring to the phase of the cycle, the watch cited may be supplemented by a plurality of specific inscriptions: from the word " SPORT "indicated for example on the needle 6, with the series of specific words 14 and 15 which, respectively inscribed on the positive dials 10 and negative 11, could for example be the following" VITALITY - ENTERPRISING CHARACTER - ENERGY WEALTH

 In fig. 3, we have a series of boxes 17A, 17B, 17C ..., 18A, 18B, 18C ..., 19A, 19B, 19C ..., for each type of cycle 17, 18, 19, each marked with a certain amount of "+" or "-" to express "how much" the day will be positive or negative for each of the three types of cycles; or else, by means of any other sign, for example ".", to express a so-called "critical" day, coinciding with the day on which one passes from a positive phase to a negative phase and vice versa .

 Fig. 4 shows a global dial comprising three concentric graduated scales 20, 21, 22 each traversed by a respective needle 23, 24, 25 of a length such that its own end is disposed opposite one of the three circular scales mentioned; this global dial being divided in two by a dividing line 26 into two zones which can be distinguished graphically in several ways and also with the signs "+" and "-" respectively, each hand (25, or else 24, or else 23) being ready to indicate analogically, by its angular position, the amount of "+" It or the amount of "-" present that day.

 To verify the correct "calibration" of the indication, a calendar 27 can be associated with such a biorhythm watch.

 Fig. 5 shows a normal watch having, however, on a large dial 28, three other smaller dials 29, 30, 31; that is to say three watches for the three biorhythms mentioned identifiable according to their specific designations. These three dials 29, 30, 31 are therefore provided with signs 32, 33 suitable for the analog interpretation of the different positivities linked to the position at which one of their specific hands 34 is located.

 Fig. 6 shows a multi-function watch having a dial 35 in which are drawn three biorhythm watch dials 36, 37, 38 and a watch dial 39 indicating the hours.

 Among the various possible numerical methods, one can cite an appropriate dial divided into two parts, upper and lower, in one of which appears a figure indicating the level of positivity or negativity, by association of this with a "+" and to a "-", of a given day for one of the three types of cycle.

Claims (8)

-1- Watch for biorhythms, characterized in that it indicates at all times at what relative level of positivity or negativity are the psychophysical conditions of a certain individual with regard to his physical cycle and / or his emotional cycle and / or his intellectual cycle, this indication preferably being taken from a link according to three distinct speed ratios (1: 552, 1: 672, 1 :: 792) of mechanical or electronic indicating means (10-11, 29, 30, 31, 36, 37, 38) (17A, 17B, 17C ..., 18A, 18B, 18C ..., 19A, 19B, l9C ...) (20, 21, 22) (28) (35) being synchronized with the theoretical speed of the respective cycles. -2- Watch for biorhythms according to claim 1, characterized by an analog expression of the variations in the relative level of positivity taken from a circular dial (10-11, 29, 30, 31, 36, 37, 38) divided into one half upper (10) with identifying signs (POSITIVE, +) of positivity and in a lower half (11) with identifying signs (NEGATIVE, -) of negativity, said dial bearing an index (6) oriented along variable angles in the time, said angles varying from 0 to 3600 in a time interval corresponding to the wavelength of the cycle to which said dial refers (Figure 2). -3- Watch for biorhythms according to claim 1, characterized by an analog expression of the variations in relative level of positivity taken from a plurality of neighboring boxes (17A, 17B, 17C., 18A, 18B, 18C ..., 19A , 19B, 19C ...) grouped together to indicate a specific cycle (17, 18, 19), these boxes being able to be singularly distinguished by graphic symbols indicating positivity (+) or negativity (-) or criticality (.) and accumulating a quantity of said symbols to exclude one type from the other (Figure 3). -4- Watch for biorhythms according to claim 1, characterized by a dial comprising three concentric scales (20, 21, 22) also not graduated but representing a gradation, referring to the three physical (22), emotional (21) and intellectual cycles (20), each being traversed by a needle (25, 24, 23) of a length such that its end is placed opposite one of the three circular crowns, said dial being divided into two (26) by a plurality graphical and / or mathematical signs indicative of positivity, on the one hand, and analogous signs indicative of negativity, on the other hand, in order to allow each individual needle to indicate by its angular position the quantity of positivity or else negativity corresponding to the type of cycle of its specific scale (Figure 4). -5- Watch for biorhythms according to claim 1, characterized by a large usual bottom dial (28) hour and minute indicator, associated with three smaller dials (29, 30, 31), relating to the three types of cycle t divided in two to express the two critical points of the cycle and the two different zones of positivity and negativity (figture 5). -6- Watch for biorhythms according to claim 1, characterized by a neutral dial (35) containing four dials (36, 37, 38, 39) including three (36, 37, 38) representing the variations in level of positivity inherent in the three physical, emotional, intellectual cycles in a manner analogous to that cited in claim 2, and a fourth dial (39) representing an hour scale typical of usual watches. -7- Watch for biorhythms according to claim 1, characterized by its specificity for a single biorhythm of personal interest, said watch allowing availability of large dial spaces for the provision of numerous explanatory inscriptions (14, 15) and large scales precision graduated (Figures 2, 4). -8- Watch for biorhythms according to claim 1, characterized by at least one biorhythmic scale associated with a calendar (27) of verification.
