Abstract

Simple and compact apparatus making it possible, under optimum physiological conditions, to perform, both at home and when travelling, and without the aid of a third person, gymnastic exercises intended to increase the suppleness (flexibility) and muscle tone of the cervical or lumber regions. It comprises principally a bracket which is fastened over an open or closed door and movable equipment which provides the relaxation traction (pulling action) on the cervical region or the lumber region, by means of weights which the user can add or remove in order to modify the tension. The apparatus may be used in the sitting position or, by virtue of complementary devices, in a recumbent position. The apparatus according to the invention is intended principally for those who wish to perform the gymnastic exercises recommended by their chiropractor, their physiotherapist, their doctor or their sports trainer at home and without loss of time.

Description

The present invention relates to an apparatus for on the one hand to allow the relaxation and weight training of the cervical region by appropriate gymnastic exercises, and on the other hand the static relaxation of the sacro-lumbar region.

These exercises are traditionally performed with devices that are on the one hand too bulky to allow transport and use at home or on the move, and secondly insufficiently adapted to the physiological conditions required: they have no no ease of adjustment of the value and orientation of the traction, nor, with regard to the cervical and lumbar regions, of a device for maintaining the vertebral curvatures in the correct physiological position. They therefore require the intervention of a third person to ensure these settings.

The apparatus according to the invention makes it possible to carry out these exercises by fulfilling the physiological conditions described above, both at home and during travel, without the intervention of a third person, and simply by using an interior door without obstructing it. necessarily the passage.

Referring to Figure 1, the apparatus comprises: - A flat hook (1) hooking at the top of the door, consisting of a sufficiently thin steel blade to be used optionally closed door, and welded end of a tube (2) sliding in a tube (3), itself equipped with a support beam (5) provided with flexible sleeves (6) for bearing on the door.
