Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a walking aid device for a person with reduced mobility of the "circle" walker closed one side is movable. More particularly, this device of the invention is intended to protect the user from any falls related to his disability.
The devices currently available to help people to move while standing while they are more or less severely handicapped (s) motor (s) are divided into two groups, a first gathering all frames unclosed markets for their access, a second group with a closed frame on all sides, equipped with a panties inside.
The disadvantage of the devices of the first group lies in their inability to limit falls by weakening muscle strength of the lower limbs, there is no user support. The devices of the second group are very little used because more bulky, the pants are difficult to implement.
According to the present invention, a device has been discovered which provides a solution to the problems encountered with the devices known above. It is safer, easier to use and lighter. Thus, the invention consists of a walker-type walking aid with an upper arch, a "circle" support, one side of which is movable, allowing access to the center of the device: the person is placed in the center then we close the walker by attaching the movable part of the arch to its fixed part, closing the circle, is passed between the legs of the support hammock (the rear end attached to the movable side of the arch), the other anterior end of the hammock will pass in a slide provided on the front upright of the fixed arch of the device; each end 25 being provided with wheels adapted to the size of the slide. This slide will be continuous on the mobile part and fixed when closing the device, so the hammock can move inside the "circle" by rotation of the user himself safe. The user will be more free of his movements. The device will have a second lower arch to ensure a solidity of the entire walking apparatus, it will solidify the anterior and posterior lateral feet. The device is provided with five wheels, fixed on five feet: two lateral-anterior, two lateral-posterior, attached to the fixed part of the device; and a fifth foot, posterior, attached to the movable part of the circle. Thus this device allows the movement in all directions, in rotation, it will reduce falls associated with a disability of the lower limbs, rehabilitation safety and comfort for living dependents. According to a variant of the device, it is adjustable to several heights. The circumferential dimensions of the device may be variable depending on the size of the person. According to another variant of the device the general shape in "circle" may become an open-angle frame. The closure modes of the mobile upright will be more or less complex to facilitate the use and safety of the user.
