Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for protecting electrical apparatus, such as a fusebox, in particular for a motor vehicle. This device for protecting electrical apparatus in a motor vehicle comprises a box (5) called fusebox (50) interposed between the central electrical wiring loom (6) and the electrical wiring loom (7) supplying the apparatus to be protected such as the rear flashing lights and rear windscreen wipers, the said box (5) being incorporated in a footrest (3) fixed to the floor (1) of the vehicle, while being accessible via a trap-door (8) coming flush with the surface of the said footrest (3) in closed position. This device applies particularly to protecting electrical apparatus used in the back of motor vehicles.
