Abstract

The invention relates to a device which enables the logs to be sorted continuously according to certain criteria in an error-free and steady manner. It is made up of a conveyor belt (1) which circulating in metal troughs (2), the latter being mounted on pivots (3). These troughs can tilt from the right to the left by means of jacks (4), the whole assembly being mounted on a beam (5). The assembly is moved by a variation in the speed as a function of the weight of the logs. The device according to the invention is particularly designed for sorting logs of wood continuously.
