Abstract

The present invention relates to the construction of a tank intended to transport water by helicopter for fighting forest fires. It consists of a principal casing (1) provided with a solid cover (5) at its top, a spraying base at its bottom intended to convert the mass of water contained into rain. The inside of this tank comprises a retaining base provided at its centre with an opening which is obturated by a valve intended to be controlled externally by the means of transport and which will release the contained water as soon as it is opened through the spraying base in order thus to allow the seats of fires to be extinguished with greater accuracy. The tank is intended to be connected by four cables to a helicopter attached to the said tank at four points, the said cables passing through an intermediate square frame (55) making it possible to apply forces vertically at the suspension points of the tank, the water discharge opening control being provided by an auxiliary cable acting on a lever provided on the tank.

DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to the construction of a water tank intended to fight forest fires.

This invention is intended exclusively to be transported by helicopter to extinguish forest fires inaccessible to conventional means of control.

This tank, which can hold several thousand liters of water, will be of metal construction suitable for its use.

I1 will consist of a main envelope, a full cover provided at its upper part1 with a diffuser bottom at its lower part intended to transform the manse of water contained in rain.

The interior of this tank has a retention bottom provided in its center with an opening which is itself closed by a valve intended to be controlled externally by the means of transport and which will release as soon as it is opened-the water contained through the bottom diffuser so as to put out the fireplaces with greater precision.

Other identical tanks can be supplied and stored in a location close to the fireplaces, but not presenting any danger for the servants, thus making it possible to perform more rapid rotations of the intervention means.
