Description

The present invention relates to a portable device for collecting

  syringe needles and relates more specifically to a collection box adapted to the type of syringe and which can be taken to any operational place. The configuration of such a box is such that: 1) a large space is provided for easy entry of the needle of the syringe by its tip and a separation of the needle from the syringe by means of needle clamps making it possible to maintain the latter in its critical position against the syringe thanks to the retractable cover of the

collection;-

  2) the separation of the needle from the syringe can be done with one hand by the operator; and 3) once closed, the retractable cover of the case cannot be opened accidentally and the hands

therefore cannot escape.

  In order to prevent the needle from injuring people, medical personnel instinctively tend, after finishing the injection, to place it in a protective cap. However, in doing so, there is a risk of infection and a second potential pollution because there may be a new needle prick due to the comparatively smaller diameter of the protective cap As a result, some medical operators simply discard both the syringe and the needle in a bucket or

  bucket, which leads to a great danger of pollution.

  The systems recommended so far for breaking the needle or separating it from the syringe are either too expensive or difficult to implement on site

of the injection.

  The main object of the invention is therefore to propose a portable collection box for syringe needles, which can be brought in any

  place required for a medical operation.

  Another object of the invention is to provide a needle collection system which is easy to use, of good security and which the medical staff is happy to accept. Yet another object is to provide a container for syringe needles whose lid is easy to close and offers great security against accidental opening.

The needle is pressed on the internal edge of the clamp system (11) while the lower edge (22) of the syringe (21) is held against the internal upper edge (16) of the housing (10); the needle (20) can be easily separated from the central tip of the syringe (21) and fall safely into the central part (15) of the box when a force is exerted in the direction of arrow A on the syringe (21) in the position

illustrated in Figure 3 b.

  In FIG. 1, it can be seen that the retractable cover moves longitudinally along the limiting edge (14) When the cover (12) is pushed as far as possible towards the whole to ensure the closing of the central part (15) of the box, it is retained by the projecting elements (18) arranged on the limiting edge (14), as illustrated in FIG. 2, so

Claims (2)

  1 Device for collecting syringe needles, characterized in that it is constituted by a housing (10) provided with at least one clamp system (11) for needle and a retractable cover (12) suitable for move freely between the closed position and the open position of the clamp system (11); the needle (20) can be separated from the syringe (21) and fall into the main part (15) of the housing when it is pressed on said system (11) while the front face (22) of the syringe (21 ) bears against the internal lateral edge (16) of the housing (10) and   that a force is exerted on said syringe.   2 Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the cover gives off a large space (13) in the open position while, in the closed position, it is hermetically closed thanks to the presence of projecting elements (18) arranged on the limiting edge (14) serving as a slide for the cover.
