Abstract

Tige fémorale de prothèse totale de hanche à fixation primaire, qui présente un profil longitudinal effilé depuis la tête (2) jusqu'à la pointe (7), et qui comporte deux portions principales, respectivement une portion proximale trochanterodiaphysaire (3) située dans le prolongement de la tête (2) essentiellement effilée, raccordée en (5) à une portion distale (6) essentiellement à épaisseur constante, s'étendant jusqu'à la pointe (7), et dans laquelle la portion proximale (6) présente sur ses deux faces latérales principales des rainures (10, 11, 12) parallèles longitudinales, caractérisée en ce que les rainures parallèles longitudinales (10, 11, 12) de la portion proximale (3) se prolongent (11) jusqu'à la pointe (7) de la portion distale (6).

Description

TIGE FEMORALE DE PROTHESE TOTALE DE HANCHE A FIXATION
PRIMAIRE.
L'invention concerne une tige fémorale de prothèse totale de hanche à fixation primaire.
Dans le document EP-A-0 135 755, on a décrit une tige fémorale de prothèse totale de hanche à fixation primaire qui présente un profil longitudinal effilé depuis la tête jusqu'à la pointe et comporte deux parties principales, respectivement une portion proximale trochanterodiaphysaire et une portion distale, et dans laquelle la portion proximale présente sur ses deux faces latérales principales des rainures parallèles longitudinales, alors que la portion distale est lisse.
Dans le document FR-A-2 634 643, on a décrit un perfectionnement à ce type de tige dans laquelle la portion trochanterodiaphysaire présente deux fentes longitudinales en forme générale d'ouïes de poisson.
Bien qu'elles soient utilisées avec succès, ces tiges présentent toutefois l'inconvénient qu'une fois en place, notamment lorsqu'elles sont scellées par du ciment, il est difficile de les retirer sans affecter le tissu osseux, du fait du passage de la portion distale lisse.
L'invention pallie ces inconvénients. Elle vise une tige du type en question qui soit stable et que l'on puisse retirer une fois en place, même scellée, sans affecter de manière néfaste le tissu spongieux ou osseux qui aurait pu se reformer.
Cette tige fémorale perfectionnée de prothèse totale de hanche à fixation primaire, qui présente un profil longitudinal effilé depuis la tête jusqu'à la pointe, comporte deux portions principales respectivement une portion proximale trochanterodiaphysaire disposée au voisinage de la tête de la tige, et une portion distale disposée du côté de la pointe de la tige et, dans laquelle la portion trochanterodiaphysaire proximale présente sur ses deux faces latérales principales des rainures parallèles longitudinales, se caractérise en ce que les rainures parallèles longitudinales de la portion proximale se prolonge jusqu'au voisinage de la pointe de la portion distale.
En d'autres termes, l'invention vise un perfectionnement aux tiges fémorales rainurées connues jusqu'à ce jour, selon laquelle les rainures s'étendent sur toute la hauteur de la tige, y compris dans la portion distale, et ce jusqu'au voisinage de la pointe de la tige.
La manière dont l'invention peut être réalisée et les avantages qui en découlent ressortiront mieux de l'exemple de réalisation qui suit à l'appui des figures annexées.
La figure 1 montre vue en coupe une tige fémorale perfectionnée conforme à l'invention.
La figure 2 est une vue de face alors que la figure 3 est une vue en coupe selon l'axe III-III' de la figure 2.
La tige fémorale de prothèse totale de hanche à fixation primaire selon l'invention, désignée par la référence générale (1) comprend dans l'ordre une tête (2) destinée à recevoir la sphère sur laquelle s'appuiera la cupule, reliée à une portion proximale trochanterodiaphysaire (3), évasée dans le plan anteropostérieur et dont la courbure antérieure (4), vue dans un plan longitudinal (figure 2) coïncide avec la courbure du cintre obturateur du fémur par rapport au cotyle. Cette portion proximale (3) se prolonge à partir de la zone indiquée par les pointillés (5) par la portion distale (6) qui se termine par la pointe (7).
De manière connue (voir figure 3), cette tige (1) présente une section générale pleine trapézoïdale et la portion distale (6) est sensiblement d'épaisseur constante.
De manière connue, les deux faces principales latérales de la portion proximale (3) présentent des rainures, parallèles longitudinales symétriques (10, 11, 12) régulièrement espacées, par exemple de 2 mm et ayant 1,5 mm de profondeur. Selon lbinvention, ces rainures (10, 11, 12) régulières s'étendent sur la portion distale (6) jusqu'au voisinage de la pointe (7), et ce de chaque côté des faces principales latérales de la tige.
Dans une forme de réalisation avantageuse, la portion distale (3) présente un état de surface grenaillée, alors que les surfaces de la tête (2) et des rainures de la portion distale (6) sont lisses.
En pratique, la tige (1) est en un alliage de titane et les rainures (10, 11, 12) ont un pas et une profondeur constantes et sont parallèles, comme déjà dit, à l'axe longitudinal A-A' de la tige.
Grâce aux rainures (11, 12), caractéristiques de l'invention, il est possible au chirurgien de retirer la prothèse en place, même lorsqu'elle a été scellée au ciment, sans détériorer de manière préjudiciable le tissu osseux ou spongieux qui aurait pu se reformer.

Claims (2)

REVENDICATIONS
1/ Tige fémorale (1) de prothèse totale de hanche à fixation primaire, qui présente un profil longitudinal effilé depuis la tête (2) jusqu'à la pointe (7), et qui comporte deux portions principales, respectivement une portion proximale trochanterodiaphysaire (3) située dans le prolongement de la tête (2) essentiellement effilée, raccordée en (5) à une portion distale (6) essentiellement à épaisseur constante, s'étendant jusqu'à la pointe (7), et dans laquelle la portion proximale (6) présente sur ses deux faces latérales principales des rainures (10, 11, 12) parallèles longitudinales, caractérisée en ce que les rainures parallèles longitudinales (10, 11, 12) de la portion proximale (3) se prolongent (11) jusqu'au voisinage de la pointe (7) de la portion distale (6).
2/ Tige fémorale (1) selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que la section de la tige (1) est trapézoïdale et en ce que les rainures (10, 11, 12) parallèles longitudinales sont régulièrement espacées et ont une profondeur constante.
