Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to binoculars (possibly disposable) which are obtained by folding, to which has been added an original method of lens support and a retaining strip. Compared to what exists, we have made a new type of inexpensive binoculars thanks to an external belt that holds the whole. The novelty also lies in the way of arranging the different foldable parts: everything is possible with any foldable material: cardboard, flexible plastic, polypropylene.
There are already inexpensive binoculars such as plastic binoculars for children but none have the lightness and structure that we have developed, accompanied by real quality and visual effectiveness of approximation X 4. In addition our binocular is the only one to be obtained by folding, designed in a flexible, light material, with lenses restoring a good technical quality.
Our invention also lies in the precision of the lens support (fig 3) which guarantees, thanks to notches (22 and 23), a constant spacing between the front (7) and rear (7a) lenses.
The binocular according to its inventor is made up of a main body (40) (fig. 2) composed of 8 spindles (30-31-32-33-34-35-36-37) which fold in on themselves by group of 4 (30-31-32-33) on one side and (34-35-36-37) on the other, and which are fixed by two male parts (1 and 2) entering (5 and 6) form the two vision tubes of the binocular.
-Faisant partie du corps principal, entre les deux tubes de vues constitués par les pliage de 4 fuseaux, une partie moins large (4) permet de retenir chacun des 4 fuseaux repliés grâce à deux entailles femelles (5) et (6) recevant les parties (1 et 2).- Part of the main body, between the two viewing tubes formed by the folding of 4 spindles, a narrower part (4) makes it possible to retain each of the 4 spindles folded thanks to two female notches (5) and (6) receiving the parts (1 and 2).
Each spindle is a trunk of cone (of ± 7cm by 2 cm - value of the angle + 7501850) (the main body instead of being in the form of spindles in trunks of cone with pre-folded sides could be in the form of two rollable cylinders on themselves).
-The two tubes used for vision, when the flaps are folded, are surrounded by a secondary body called a strip (3) (fig 5, closed) (fig 6, open) which is itself retained around the main body thanks to a male notch (9) entering a female slot (10) as well as thanks to the four notches located in the main body (13-14-15- 16) which the strip slides under the notches. (figl) They are formed by simple rounded or square cut of the material in the spindles of the main body. Each notch is on a different truncated cone. The notch is always made in opposition to the neighboring notch.

The figure (6) represents the external strip of open maintenance -The lenses (24 and 25) retained for this preferential model are of: - Radius of curvature: Front (25) 11.61 = - 0.5 Rear (24) 40 , 5 mm / ± 0.5 - Diameter: 12 mm front lens (25) - 30 mm rear lens (24). There are several ways of fixing the lenses in a preferred embodiment, we have retained the following way:
A plastic U (fig 3 and 4) with a length between 5 and 7 cm and a height between 1.5 and 3 cm. contains 1 or 2 centimeters from each of its front and rear edges two transversely notches (22 and 23) hollowed out in the material of the body of this U allow the two lenses to be placed by simple sliding from top to bottom, the front lenses (25 ) and rear (24).
-On the outer walls of the lens support U, two small plastic protrusions of 2 mm (18) and (19) keep the U in the main body by clipping (20) and (21).
