Abstract

Mechanism for selecting various shots in a firearm. The invention relates to a device making it possible to select the type and striking order of various ammunition rounds in a triple-barrelled firearm (two lateral shots and one central shot). A lever located in the trigger guard of the two triggers and tilting forwards makes it possible to cock the firearm with the central shot and, when the corresponding trigger is pressed, gives priority to the strike for the central shot. The second pressure on this same trigger activates the mechanism for one of the two lateral shots, the other lateral shot being triggered by the second trigger. The mechanism according to the invention is intended particularly for hunting guns.

Description

 The present invention relates to an original hunting rifle mechanism having three ammunition ready for shooting.

 The ammunition loaded is of two types (cartridges or bullet). The two cartridges are juxtaposed and the ball is between and above them.

 It is, however, possible to replace the bullet with a cartridge.

 On the following description, we will simply speak of "blow" (right side shot, left side shot, center shot) without mentioning the type of ammunition.

 The triggering of the different shots is made using only two detents. This type of weapon is singularly called "Drilling".

The object of the invention is to constitute the device so that the user of such a weapon can at any time select the start of one of the different shots available, this in order to increase the pleasure and the safety of it. This selection is made using a lever located under the trigger guard of the two detents. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention and the complete description of the weapon.

 Figure i shows the forehand mechanism alone. To arm this shot, it is necessary to have opened the rifle. When the latter is closed, the lever 1 (rearming lever) drives and pivots the hammer 2 backwards until it engages the trigger 3. In this operation, the spring 4 is compressed. Arming is thus carried out.

 The operation of the front trigger 5 makes it possible to raise the link 6 which rotates the trigger 3 clockwise (via the blackened shoulder) until the hammer 2 is released. The tilting thereof forward and its energy are supplied by the spring 4 until contact with the striker 7. The return to the "rest" position of the trigger 3 is done by the spring 8. The lowering of the lever 6 in the "rest" position "occurs naturally by releasing the trigger. The return spring 9 allows the lever 6 to tilt forward and keep it permanently in contact with the different triggers used (in this case: trigger 3).

 The return of each trigger takes place via their own return spring (10 for the front trigger, 20 for the rear trigger).

 Figure 2 shows the mechanism of the left blow alone.

In this case, too, it is necessary that the rifle has been opened to allow rearmament.

 When the rifle closes, the lever 11 drives and pivots the hammer 12 backwards until it engages on the trigger 13.

In this operation, the spring 14 is compressed. The arming of the left blow is thus carried out. The operation of the rear trigger 15 makes it possible to raise the link 16 which rotates the trigger 13 clockwise until the hammer 12 is released. The tilting of the latter forward and its energy are supplied by the spring 14 until contact with the striker 17. The return to the "rest" position of the trigger 13 is effected by the spring 18. The descent of the lever 16 in the "rest" position takes place naturally by releasing the trigger , the axis 19 making these two parts integral with one another.

 Figure 3 represents the mechanism of the central blow only. By tilting forwards, the reset lever 21 drives and pivots the hammer 22 backwards until it engages on the trigger 23. During this operation, the lever 6 is pushed backwards via of the link 24 so as to select the central stroke (engagement of the shoulder shown blackened, under the trigger 23). The arming of the central hit is thus carried out.

 The operation of the first trigger 5 makes it possible to raise the lever 6 which rotates the trigger 23 clockwise until the hammer 22 is released and propels it forward to actuate the striker 27 (return of the trigger 23 at rest by the spring 28). In this movement, the hammer 22 carries with it the link 24. The descent of the lever 6 in the "rest" position is naturally effected by the release of the trigger 5 (the return spring 9 allows the lever 6 to tilt forward and keep it permanently in contact with the different triggers used (in this case: trigger 23).

 The arming of the central blow being done by the rearming lever 21, this operation is therefore completely independent of the other rearming operation (left and right lateral blows). It can therefore be carried out either open or closed rifle. Likewise, there is the possibility of disarming the central blow by tilting the lever 21 forward until contact with the hammer 22.

 At this instant, a pressure on the front trigger releases the hammer 22 and the return to the disarmed position is effected by a slow and gentle release of the lever 21.

 When the two right and left lateral shots are armed (opening and closing of the rifle), the arming of the central shot is done according to the same description as that represented on figure 3. A first pressure on the front trigger causes the percussion of the shot central (principle identical to that described above).

 At this instant and during the release of the trigger, the lever 6, in its descent, engages under the trigger 3 (see Figure 1) and through the shoulder (shown blackened in Figure 1) allows the tilting of it.

 The percussion of the forehand then becomes identical in principle to that defined at the beginning of this description and illustrated by FIG. 1.

 The order in the description of the various mechanisms above is given by way of example.

 Similarly, the percussion mechanism of the central blow, triggered by pressing the same trigger as the forehand, can be associated with the left stroke. In this case, the rear trigger 15 becomes exclusively reserved for the forehand. This new kinematics differs from the previous one by connections central blow-left blow instead of central blow-forehand.

 The opening and closing of the rifle (reloading in ammunition) implies an automatic rearming of the side shots (right and left), without any influence on the mechanism of the central shot.

 Certain construction details can be modified without departing from the invention in the field of technical equivalences.

Claims (3)

 1 - Device for arming and percussion of cartridges or bullets in a hunting rifle having three ammunition (left right and central) ready to fire characterized in that it comprises a possibility of selection of the different shots, by means of d 'A cocking lever 21, located under the trigger guard which acts on the hammer 22 and comes to favor the central blow. The hammer 22, in its movement, drives the link 24 which pushes the lever 6. The latter emerges from the trigger 3 and engages under the trigger 23.  The first pressure on the front trigger releases the central blow. The second releases the lateral blow.  2 - Device according to claims 1 characterized in that it allows disarming at any time of the central blow by acting on the lever 21 until contact with the hammer 22, then by actuating the first trigger 5, and finally by bringing the hammer-lever assembly in the "rest" position. At this instant, the pressure on the front trigger triggers the lateral blow.  3 - Device according to claims 1 and 2 characterized in that, during manufacture, the central stroke can be associated either with the left side stroke or with the right side stroke. The principles of arming and percussion are similar but symmetrical (right instead of left and vice versa).  The parts constituting this device are also defined symmetrically at once with respect to the other.
