Abstract

The invention relates to a device intended to protect individual seedlings against insects in general and, more particularly, against butterflies, flies, snails and slugs. This device consists of a conical envelope (1), the base of which is reinforced by hooping (2). This casing is produced from a material of the mosquito-net type, enabling the seedlings to receive sun, ventilation and irrigation in the normal manner. The hooping provides rigidity for the assembly. As for the conical shape, it permits the nesting of the devices together in order to facilitate the operations of handling and storage. The device according to the invention is particularly adapted to protecting cabbages and other vegetable plants of similar configuration.
