The bar screen cleaner (1) is of the type formed from: - a rake (2), with an articulated comb (3); the teeth of the comb (4) traversing a grid (5), from bottom to top, the comb (3) is retracted during the descent, it is equipped, in order to clean when rising up again, - with a mobile outlet (6), located upstream of the grid (5), - a mechanical ejector (7), - a motor reduction gear (8) which actuates the movement of the rake along a running track provided in the chassis of the bar screen cleaner (1); the comb (3) or the rake (2) comprising means serving as a cam which, during the travel of the said rake, act directly on the said articulated comb (3) in order to open it or to close it, or on other members.
