Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to improvements in the functioning of a hull of a planing nautical craft provided with one or more flexible or articulated lower parts making it possible to suspend the upper infrastructures of the hull proper outside of the wet surface, in evolution.
This invention makes it possible to improve the performance of this nautical suspension which must adapt its damping and stiffness characteristics to the shape of the body of water and to the speed of the nautical machine.
The elastic feedback or the stiffness of a spring is not suitable for the operation of a nautical suspension because the stiffness of a spring is a constant.
This feedback must increase with the speed of the nautical craft, because the wetting surface of a planing hull decreasing, is concentrated on the back, the center of hydro-dynamic thrust recedes in proportion and this depends on the square of the speed of the craft.
The speed and lift pressure increase as the wetted surface decreases. This pressure captured by means of a scoop or a stopping point judiciously located
at the rear of this movable planing surface is injected into a bellows or a jar, which controls the travel
relative to the hull and which adjusts the reaction forces fontien-de ': the speed of the nautical craft.
The appended drawings, given by way of example, will allow a better understanding of the invention, and the advantages which it is likely to provide.

FIG. 6: represents a solution for installing the system on a hull of a sailboat provided with a retractable fin.
According to the invention in FIGURE 1 we see that the shell (l) planes with the increase in speed as appropriate 1,2,3. The constant lever arm (L) corresponds to the distance separating the joint of the feedback bellows whether it is an articulated bearing plane (2) or a flexible profile (2)
The lever arm (L) corresponds to the variable distance in navigation separating the hydrodynamic thrust center (CP) from the articulation of (2). For an operation of the suspension at all navigation speeds, the feedback forces must be adjusted: the bellows (FCR) at least, corresponding to the most forward (CP), start of the planing gaits.
A pressure tap (4) allows us to overpressurize the bellows (3) by capturing these lift pressures which increase with the displacement of the (CP) on the rear. The bellows is therefore dimensioned on the surface in order to obtain the correct dosage feedback function, pressure build-up, ratio
lever lever (L) and shell load. The pressure tap (4) plays a decisive role in operation.
The case one of the FIGURE 2 corresponds to a static pressure measurement of the lift forces, the opening is perpendicular to the veins of the fluid, the pressure thus captured is low and corresponds to the operation of the pneumatic bellows FIGURE 3. A restriction (5) allows us to brake more or less the pressure variations in case the hull loses contact with the fluid. According to case two of FIGURE 2 a scoop (6) allows, like a breakpoint perpendicular to the veins of the fluid, to capture the total pressure :: static pressure (PS) + (Pd) dynamic pressure, which follow the same evolution law 't increase as a function of the square of the speed ". The pressures reached are much higher than the previous case and allow
to use a cylinder system. A restriction (5) in the form of a calibrated pellet screwed into an orifice passing through the movable hull (2) makes it possible to brake the fluid for the same previous reasons. This restriction also makes it possible to dampen the movement by braking the passage of the fluid in compression and expansion of the bellows or of the cylinder.
FIGURE 4.According to case three of FIGURE 2, the pressure tap is located at the end of a profiled appendage (7) embedded in the moving fluid in order to attenuate the disturbances due to random contact of the hull with the fluid. motor is installed in the rear axle
of the pressure tap used in case four of the
FIGURE 4.
According to case four of FIGURE 2 the pressure tap is located on the leading edge of a fin or of a fin such as an element of the anti-drift plane of a sailing propulsion unit.
dlun pneumatic bellows made of deformable molded plastic according to the folds (8) of the circular wall in expansion and compression, in one piece with the upper flange (10).
This membrane (9) is tightened, on the periphery of the flange (12) in a stack capped from the bottom of the skirt to the bellows (3) by an adjustable clamping collar (15), which seals the chamber (13) in air and the water chamber (14). This bellows is dimensioned in diameter according to the feedback to be provided, in relation to the load W = Zzo -e by the bridge (l). The pressure (PS) or (PD) depending on the type d orifice (4) compresses by expansion of the membrane (9) the chamber (13) and transmits by transformation of the pressure on the flange (10) the force to the bridge (l) and by contact with the flange (12) force at the movable hull (2).
According to case two of FIGURE 3 a non-deformable volume (V) connected to the bellows (3) by a tube statically at the same pressure makes it possible to increase the movement of the bellows (3) more or less braked by the restriction (17) located between this volume (V) and bellows (3). the variable feedback - of the bellows is the same as in the previous case and therefore makes it possible to adjust it to the speed of the machine. performance of a variable lift, of a bearing profile with variable relative thickness, of an articulated bearing plane.
According to the case one of FIGURE 4 a piston (12) fixed to the carrier plane (2) segmented for its tightness in the jacket (10) closed at its top in contact with the bridge (l) forms a cylinder maintained in expansion by a spring (21) in which on (2) of a cat and on a shoulder of the shirt (10) of the other. A plug (20) allows us access to its housing in the bridge (1). The piston (12) is pierced with an orifice (4) in which a calibrated restriction (5) slows down the passage of the fluid which captured by a scoop (6) brings about the correction of the attitude of the mobile part (2). of the speed this pressure (Ps) or (Pd) transform into a counter-reaction force on the piston (12) and on the jacket (10) thus oppose the crushing of the hull (1) on (2) to great speed.
The internal pressure of the jack, supplied by the pressurization at (4) is regulated by a valve (22) which allows an adjustable leakage rate during navigation, which makes it possible to accommodate the navigation plane of the carrier plane or of the flexible profile.
According to case three of FIGURE 5, the pneumatic damper of the variable lift is adjusted in pressure in the central chamber (13) and in counter-reaction force in the chamber (14) supplied by the pressure tap (4). The membranes (27) are made of reinforced rubber or plastic having the same characteristics
ticks sized for this purpose
According to FIGURE 5 the support plane (2) is created at (27) = r the vertical sides (28) which allow the lateral guidance of the support plane on the free edges of the shell (l) provided with the necessary sockets. The damper (3), fixed in the well (26), is thus saved from lateral shear forces.
According to FIGURE 6, the flexible bearing profile (2) is split at the level of the fin (25) which is retractable in a well of the hull (1) two shock absorbers (3) provided for: this effect, are installed ~ symmetrically of on either side of the fin (25) each with their pressure tap (4).
All these variants of bellows or jack allow automatic adjustment of the plate of the articulated carrier plane or of the flexible carrier profile, depending on the speed of the nautical craft thanks to an appropriate pressure tap. They are produced in the usual way by wetting or by machining, the materials used resistant to corrosion .11 must moreover be understood that the foregoing descrintian has only been given by way of example and that it in no way limits the field of the invention whose would not go out by replacing the details of execution described by all in equivalents. In particular any other embodiment allowing the adjustment of the counter-reaction forces as a function of speed can be envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention, provided that it has the same function.
According to FIGURE 2 the angle (Oc) corresponds to the angle of attack of the orifice or to the angle of the lips delimiting the point of armet which makes it possible to regulate the pressure of feedback according to the characteristics of the bellows or of the jack (3) and this by modifying the value of the angle. The larger the angle, the greater the pressure, at 90 the feedback pressure.
is equal to the total dynamic pressure.
