Abstract

The invention relates to a device for grinding coffee beans directly inside the container carrying the filter where, without the ground coffee requiring to be transferred and without handling, the drink will be percolated and filtered. This device is built into an element which heats the water by electrical resistance and operates a heat pump supplied by a tank of water. The device consists of a section (1) on which an electric motor (2) is mounted such that its shaft passes into the filter holder (3) where it supports and drives the grinding blade (4). The section (1) receives and diffuses the hot water required for percolating. The drink is filtered by the grating and screen of the filter holder.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device for grinding coffee beans directly inside the filter-holding container where, subsequently, without transfer of the milling and without handling, the leaching and filtration of the drink will be ensured.

 Grinding the roasted coffee beans breaks the alveoli of these beans, allowing the carbon dioxide produced during roasting to escape, causing the aroma to evaporate quickly.

 This grinding is a prior operation necessary for the production of a drink extracted from coffee, it is essential to reduce the evaporation that occurs during the transfer or handling of ground coffee, this by eliminating this transfer, either in the device, or between devices.

 To fulfill this condition, a device is required which avoids transfer or manipulation of the ground coffee and ensures leaching and filtration immediately after grinding.

 For such a device to be used and appreciated, it must not require more handling than a device using previously ground coffee, must not be Heavy or bulky, must not involve the risk of accident by motors located below the level of the water circuit, the failure of a seal is to be feared because of the high speed necessary to ensure grinding.

 According to the invention, the device described is incorporated in a hot water producing apparatus and makes it possible to very simply produce a complete coffee apparatus making it possible to obtain a drink directly from the coffee beans, without intermediate manipulation; just put water in the tank, coffee beans in the filter holder, and manipulate the motor-resistance inverter.

 The features of the invention will emerge from the description which follows. In the accompanying drawings, given by way of nonlimiting example, the invention has been shown in a preferred form.

 Figure 1 is a vertical section, showing the grinding-filtration device object of the invention.

 Figure 2 is a schematic vertical section of a coffee appliance comprising application of the invention, the filter holder container being shown prior to its attachment to the device.

 The preferred embodiment of the grinding-filtration device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 includes a profile (1) whose shape has been studied to allow it to provide the connection between the grinding element and the filtration element, while ensuring the reception and distribution of hot water necessary for the leaching of coffee.

 This connection profile (1) comprises a diffusion screen (2), a seal (3), an orifice (4) for the hot water inlet tube (23), two oblique ramps (5) diametrically opposite L to one another in order to cooperate with the two pins (6) of the filter holder container (22).

 The filter holder container is fixed by a rotational movement using the handle (7); it has a removable grid (8) and, at its base, a fixed screen (9). Above the connection profile is fixed an electric motor (10) whose axis (11) penetrates, after passing through a seal (12), into the filter holder; on this axis is adapted by a clip (13) a grinding knife (14). In the thickness (4) of the connecting profile arrives Hot water from a heat pump (15) with non-return valve (16), pump actuated by an electrical resistance (17) provided with a thermostat (18 ) and controlled by the inverter (19) motor-resistor, with supply from the water tank (20) provided with a filling plug (21).

Equipped with the device described by the invention, the device operates as follows
The water having been introduced into the tank, the grinding knife fixed on the axis of the engine, the removable grid placed in the filter holder, the coffee beans poured into the filter holder which is engaged on its support, a jug placed at the below.

 With the current connected, the inverter allows the engine to be started first, driving the chopping knife; Once the grinding is finished, the inverter allows you to connect the resistance. The ground coffee is watered on site in the filter holder by hot water from the heat pump, this hot water being distributed over the ground coffee by the grid of the connection profile. The coffee extract is filtered first by the removable grid, then by the fixed sieve of the filter holder, and flows into the pinacea jug below.

 The manipulations described are identical to the essential manipulations; in devices using previously ground coffee, this device thus provides a solution to the problems of the complexity of the use and manufacture of known devices.

 It should moreover be understood that the foregoing description has been given only by way of example and that it in no way limits the field of the invention from which one would not depart by replacing the execution details described by all other equivalents.

Claims (4)

R E V E ~ N ~ D ~ I C A T I ~ O ~ N ~ S  1. Device for grinding coffee beans directly inside the filter-holding container (22) where, in an immediate sequence, without transfer of grinding, and without manipulation, the leaching and filtration of the drink will be ensured.  This device is incorporated into a water heating element by electrical resistance (17) and heat pump (15) to form a complete apparatus for making coffee.  Characterized by a profile (I) studied to enable it to perform three functions; above, it supports the electric motor by keeping it in the center of the grinding system; below, it supports the filter-holder container (22) which comprises grid (8) and screen (9), and in its thickness, this profile receives and diffuses the hot water necessary for leaching.  2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the electric motor (10) is located above the water circuit, which protects it from moisture in case of failure of the seal.  3. Device according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the filter holder (22), after installation of the removable grid (8) and coffee beans, adapts to the grinding system by two pins ( 6) cooperating with two oblique ramps (5), with the help of the handle (7). This installation closes a contact which controls the operation of the motor, between the latter and the reverser.  4. Device characterized by the use of a water heating element according to claim 1. This element comprises a water tank (20), an electrical resistance (17D, a thermostat (18), and a heat pump (15) propelling hot water into the connection profile (1) or the grid (2) ensures its distribution on the coffee, after grinding in the filter holder (22), by the knife (14) driven by the motor (10).
