Abstract

This is an elevator platform for lopping in forestry work, the platform being fifteen or so square metres in size, and fixed on a tractor by means of two supports which make it possible, with the aid of two manual winches, to raise this platform to a height of five metres and to provide two or four workers with a work surface on which they can carry out, under optimum conditions, lopping up to nine to ten metres.

REASON FOR THIS INVENTION

The idea was therefore to look for the possibility of making a platform easily movable that could be mounted up to 5 meters from the
ground and which would offer a sufficient evolution surface to execute -limbing in the best conditions.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This platform includes: a U profile structure (3) fixed to the tractor by 6 points (1-15-14). On this structure, two articulated brackets (6) are fixed allowing the guiding of a gangway (4-5). The lifting is ensured by 4 winches (2 per jib connected by the same axis) (2).

-We access this gateway by a ladder comprising a part fixed to the structure (12) and a mobile part (13) - sliding in the fixed part. Two safety systems lock the winches and the platform.

Gateway
Comprises a horizontal central part (4) and two mobile parts (5) articulated on hinges integral with the fixed part (9) and which can be raised vertically. - The mobile parts are guided by arms (7) which provide the horizontal locking. When the moving parts are in the horizontal position, studs welded to the peripheral fittings (8) allow the installation of protective bars (10) supporting two chains (10 bis) .- To access this platform, a tilting trapdoor is located at the ladder (18). Two hooks (31) welded to the mobile part of the ladder make it possible to make the latter integral with the platform whatever its position.

The two brackets (6):
Are foldable when the gangway is in the low position to facilitate the transport of the assembly - To this end, each bracket is articulated by a central axis (17) integral with the structure - The vertical blocking is ensured by two bolts (16). A cut at 45 "from the U-shaped irons ensures the vertical positioning of the brackets - and stiffens the assembly (16 bis). The brackets are fixed to the tractor as follows: front bracket with 4 bolts on each side from the tractor to the locations provided for fixing the agricultural implements carried, rear stem: it is supported by the fixing pins of the drawbar under the rear axle (15-14). maximum height, two braces (11) are provided.

The lifting system
The platform is secured by 4 winches (2) - Each winch is fixed to the structure and includes a crank (23) and a toothed wheel (21) allowing the winch to be locked by an articulated arm (20), - 4 cables (22) each winding on two sheaves, fixed, one on the bracket (26 bis) and the other on the platform (26) by lifting rings (25) .- The cable is guided at the gangway by a tube (32).

A security system
Secures the gangway at the desired height in two ways security system fixed on the platform comprising 4 shoes (24) welded to the bracket, 1 movable pawl (27) fixed on the structure pushed by a spring (28) blocking the descent of the platform. - To simultaneously erase the pawls, simply activate the cable (29) which controls the rotation of the eccentric (30).

 Safety system on the winch ensured by the winch blocking (21-20).

Claims (5)

 1) Platform for delimbing mounted on a vehicle characterized by a mobile platform (4-5), carried by two brackets (6) fixed to the front and rear of a tractor. The fixing of these brackets on the tractor is carried out at the front by 4 bolts on each side of the tractor screwed to the places provided for the support of agricultural implements (1) and at the rear under the rear axle on the fixing pins of the drawbar (15-14).  2) Platform according to claim 1 characterized in that it comprises a central part (4) remaining in the horizontal position and two lateral parts (5) which can be raised vertically articulated on hinges (9) integral with the part central. - The moving parts are guided by arms (7) which provide horizontal locking. - Welded studs on the peripheral fittings of the platform (8) allow the installation of protective bars (10) supporting two chains (10 bis). - A tilting hatch provides access to the platform at the level of the ladder (18). - Two hooks (31) welded to the movable part of the ladder (13) make it integral with the platform (4).  3) Platform according to claim 1 or 2 characterized in that it comprises two brackets (6) provided with a device for folding them when the bridge is in the low position (17-16). - Each bracket is articulated by a central axis (17) integral with the structure - 2 bolts ensure the vertical locking (16) - a cut at 45 "from the U irons ensures the positioning of the brackets in vertical position and stiffens the assembly (16 bis).  4) Platform according to claim 1 or 2 characterized in that it comprises a lifting system operating using 4 winches fixed to the structure - Each winch comprising a crank (23) a toothed wheel (21) a articulated arm allowing the winch to be locked (20) and winding a cable passing through 2 sheaves fixed one on the stem and the other on the platform (26) by lifting rings (25).  5) Platform according to claim 1 - 2 or 3 characterized in that it comprises a security system composed of: - 4 shoes welded to the inside of the U-shaped irons of the vertical amounts of the brackets, - a movable pawl ( 27) fixed on the structure, pushed by a spring (28) blocking the descent of the platform, - an eccentric (30) actuated by a cable allowing by pulling it down to simultaneously erase the two pawls and to allow the platform to descend.
