Abstract

Device intended to reduce the negative effects of the top dead centre and bottom dead centre points which the cyclist is subjected during pedalling. The invention relates to a device which can be fitted on to one of the pedalling cranks. This device consists of a disc 1 of approximately 380 millimetres diameter into which is built a channel 2 of ovoid shape offset by approximately 45 degrees to the rear of the crank. In this channel there circulates a high-density liquid 3 the objective of which is, in a first instance, to compensate for the negative effects produced by the dead centre points. In a second instance, at a high pedalling rate, the liquid, being thrown to the ends of the channel, generates the inertia phenomenon giving an increase in efficiency.
