Abstract

This method relates to the manufacture of a die and counter-die enabling sheet materials to be embossed, by the casting of resin in a mould placed directly on the pattern to be counter-moulded. These dies and counter-dies can be bent and thus be attached to cylinders of rotary machines. This invention is intended for the embellishment of paper by reliefs and for a development (enhancement) of packaging and it relates particularly to the printing and advertising industry.

La présente invention concerne la fabrication de matrice et de contre-matrice utilisée pour le gaufrage de matériaux en feuilles
La technique actuelle consiste a réaliser une matrice et une contrematrice dans des matériaux rigides en tenant compte de Irépaisseur du matériau en feuille a gaufrer afin d'éviter le cisaillement au moment du pressage
Inconvénients :Le coût de cette technique est élevé .La présente invention permet d'abaisser considérablement le coût de fabrication des outillages
L'invention consiste a couler une résine ou un matériau similaire directement sur la matrice pour fabriquer la contre-matrice . La cou lée est effectuée à l'intérieur d'un coffrage permettant d'obtenir l'épaisseur désirée selon la machine d'impression utilisée
La déformation de la matrice et de la contre-matrice due au matériau utilisé évite le cisaillement . L'invention permet en plus la fabrica tion de contre-matrice de faible épaisseur permettant leur fixation sur des plateaux ou marbres ,fixes ou mobiles , de platines ou de rotatives d'impression sans gener le fonctionnement des lames et outils amenant et enlevant les matériaux en feuilles destinés a être gaufre .

On place un coffrage directement sur le modèle gravé
Les cotés de ce coffrage sont calibrés en hauteur a l'épaisseur désirée . ( exemple : 23,56 mm sur une platine d'imprimerie parte fixerez inférieure à 2 mm sur la partie mobile)
Sur ce coffrage est place une plaque percée d'un trou permettant la coulée de la résine . L'air s'échappe par des petits évents pouvant être de simples rainures placée > en général dans les angles . Il est préférable d'avoir cette plaque en verre ou en plexiglas afin de mieux surveiller la coulée de la résine .Un poids ou un dispositif de fixation est conseillé afin d'éviter le soulèvement de la plaque en fin de coulée
Il est possible aussi de fixer sur une plaque de côte inférieure à celles du coffrage intérieur des cales fixées sur la partie supérieure venant se poser sur le haut du coffrage permettant d'obtenir l'épaisseur désirée sans remplissage total du volume par de la résine
L'air s'échappe par les cotés .Cette solution est souhaitable en particulier pour une matrice ou contre-matrice épaisse .Ceci permet éga lement la réalisation d'élément directement fixable sur les machines avec une économie de résine pour les grandsmodèes en évitant la mauvaise mise à niveau du fond par la remontée de petites bulles.

Selon les résines , il est prudent d'utiliser les démoulants spécifiques et d'en recouvrir tous les éléments mis au contact de la résine
La mise en place en machine est faite de la façon suivante
Les deux éléments emboîtés sont placés dans la partie fixe ou mobile de la machine d'impression . Une fois que l'on a fixé l'un des éléments , on recouvre la partie arrière de l'autre avec un adhésif double face . La machine est mise en marche et la partie non fixée du jeu de matrices Se colle sur la partie venue au serrage . La mise en place est ainsi parfaite et ne nécessite aucun calage
L'invention présente l'avantage de permettre le gaufrage de matériau en feuille en évitant l'usinage matrice et contre-matrice
L'invention présente l'avantage de permettre l'utilisation de machine d'impression non spécialisée dans le gaufrage
Cette invention est particulièrement aestinee à l'embellissement du papier par du relief mais aussi pour la mise en valeur d'emballages
