Abstract

The lock device is of the type comprising a fixed barrel integrally housing a socket 2 which integrally accommodates in turn an internal block 3 comprising a stack of shaped coding washers 30, integrally clamped between two end discs 31, 32, suitable for admit the panetons of a key up to a stop, to control the rotation of these panetons and allow or not to pass through an exit slot 212, formed in the end wall 21 of the socket 2, for driving purposes at least one bolt. The internal block 3 further comprises an intermediate disc 34 located between the two end discs 31, 32 and comprising a passage 342 suitable for allowing access of the panetons of the key to said stop as well as their rotation.

The invention relates to locksmithing.

  There is currently known a lock device of the type comprising a fixed barrel, or barrel, integrally housing a socket which in turn integrally houses an internal block comprising a stack of conforming coding washers, integrally sandwiched between two end discs, suitable for admit the panetons of a wrench up to a stop, to control the rotation of these panetons and allow them or not to pass through an outlet slot, formed in the end wall of the socket, for drive purposes at less

  Such a device has structural disadvantages

  which can affect its resistance to possible erosion-

  tion. A first drawback lies in the production of the internal block. Indeed, although being integrally sandwiched between two end discs, the stack of coding washers does not form a compact body. Also, during an attempted break-in and in the case of a forced drive in rotation of the internal block, each coding washer can, due to its small thickness, twist individually until one can access the passage slot

of the rear end disc.

  Another drawback lies in the relatively large volume separating the rear end disc from the internal block and the end wall of the sleeve. Indeed, in this volume, there is provided, in the vicinity of the rear end disc, a set of shutter arms of the key passage slot formed in this rear end disc. These

  arms, also called "ratchets" by those skilled in the art, obtu-

  rent, in a first position, this passage slot and retract, in a second position, to release this slot so as to allow the passage of the key to the exit slot of the termi.rnal wall of the socket . However, it is possible, due to the distance separating the shutter arms from the end wall of the socket, to push them, during a break-in, using an appropriate tool in order to release the rear end disc passage slot in order to access the exit slot and therefore

  Another drawback of a lock device of this type lies in the shape of the key entry slot, formed

  in the entry wall, that is to say the front wall of the barrel.

  This shape generally follows a cross section of the key fingerprint, which can facilitate fingerprinting by a malicious third party. In addition, the periphery of the keys of the key makes it relatively easy to reproduce. This is still a limiting drawback

  the security of such a lock device.

  The invention aims to provide a solution to these problems

intermediate disc.

  The socket can also accommodate a terminal disc fixed inside of it in front of its end wall and comprising a passage slot homologous to the outlet slot

  Very advantageously, this terminal disc is secured to the

  internal block in rotation and can be fixed on the inter-

  ne of the end wall of the socket.

  The internal block can also be secured in rotation to the barrel by means of connection means connected to the

  front end disc of the inner block, and on the inter face

from the entrance wall of the barrel.

  In one embodiment, the rear end disc of the internal block comprises protruding means, located on the front face of this disc, and capable of cooperating with the spanners of the key when these have reached

  said stop, to authorize or not their rotation. Breadcrumbs

  Figure 1 illustrates a front view of a barrel 1 while Figure 2 illustrates a right view which is in fact a view from the front as seen by a user placed in front of the barrel to insert his key.   A key used for this lock device is illustrated in Figure 3 and bears the reference 4. It comprises a rod 41 extended at one end by a key ring 43 and supporting, in the vicinity of its other end, symmetrically, two panetons 40. Each of these panetons comprises a transverse notch 45 of a predetermined depth and the function of which will be explained below. Each bit also has a longitudinal notch 44 of a predetermined depth, and located on the edge of the bit connecting to the rod 41 in the vicinity of the free end thereof, that is to say its front end. The function of these notches

  longitudinal 44 will be explained below.

  In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the key, and in order to further increase the security of the device, the rod of this key comprises a housing 46 containing means 47 suitable for cooperating, possibly at a distance, with means of the lock device , likely to convey information in two states. These two states can represent the presence or absence of a key in the lock device and condition, for example, the electric opening of a bolt by an appropriate mechanism. These means 47 may for example be an electrical stud cooperating with an electrical contact or even a magnet cooperating with a relay disposed on or near the device. In this case, we can envisage cooperation taking place at a distance. For reasons of simplicity, these means making it possible to convey information in two states are not shown in the figures because their location in the lock device depends on the type of means used. It is however necessary to provide at least in the barrel 1 and in the sleeve 2, passages 108 and 208 counterparts allowing

  equal to the greatest distance separating two symmetrical points

  triques of the teeth of the panetons 40 and, preferably, lightly

  highly superior. By way of example, this height is of the order of 16 mm for a section height of the order of mm. The rectangular shape of this entry slot 102 and its dimensioning thus make it more difficult to grip

  of the key fingerprint by a malicious third party.

  In order to hide this entry slot 102, a cover 5 is

  provided in front of the front face 100 of the front wall 10 of the barrel.

  This cover 5 is movable in rotation about an axis 50 inserted, preferably, above the entry slit 102 along its axis of longitudinal symmetry, so as to hide by gravity this entry slit 102. The use of such a cover 5 makes it possible to protect the entrance to the barrel 1, which is necessary in certain applications and which was not provided for in

  previous lock devices.

  Barrel 1 is integrally fixed on an opening such that-

  FIG. 5 illustrates a front view of a socket 2 intended to be housed in the barrel 1 and FIG. 6 illustrates a view

  on the left of this socket 2, i.e. a view of the rear

This socket is also a hollow cylindrical piece, with a length of about 30 mm, having a rear wall, or end, 21 provided with an outlet slot 212 passing through this rear wall from its front, or internal, 210 up to 'on its rear, or external face, 211. The socket 2 is positioned in the barrel 1, so that the outlet slot 212 is offset by approximately pi / 2 radians relative to the slot

  inlet 102. Thus, this outlet slot 212 is it

  The sleeve 2 opens out at its front end and has two through passages 207 formed in the

  side wall and the function of which will be explained below.

  We now refer more particularly to the figure

  7 to briefly describe the various components housed

in socket 2.

  This first accommodates an internal block 3 comprising a set of shaped coding washers 30, the role of which will be explained below, sandwiched between a front end disc 31 and a rear end disc 32. These coding washers 30 have a thickness varying between 0.3 mm and 0.5 mm, while the thickness of the front end disc is of the order of 1.5 mm, while the thickness of the disc

  rear end is of the order of 3 mmn.

  The internal block also includes an intermediate disc 34 with a thickness of approximately 1.5 mm, interposed in the set

  coding washers 30, the function of which will be explained

below.

  The front and rear end discs, the coding washers and the intermediate disc 34 are mutually secured by two screws 33, the heads 330 of which are housed in housings, preferably diametrically opposite, formed in the end disc rear 32. The rod of each screw 33 passes through the coding washers and the intermediate disc 34 then is screwed into threaded holes made in the front end disc 31, counterparts of the screw head housings. The length of these screws 33 is such that, once the internal block 3 has been assembled, the end 331 of each screw 33 protrudes slightly from this internal block, of the order of about 1.5 mm, to be housed in blind holes 103 provided in the front wall

from ft 1.

  We could have used other means of attachment for soli-

  In the rear end disc 32, a horizontal passage slot 322 is formed, and the internal block 3 comprises a set 6 of three shutter members for this slot 322

  whose characteristics will be explained below.

  At the bottom of the sleeve, a terminal disc 22 with a thickness of approximately 3 mm is bonded to the front face 210 of the rear or end wall 21 of the sleeve. This disc has a passage slit 222 homologous to the exit slit

  212 of the socket 2, that is to say placed horizontally.

  The rear end disc 32 of the internal block 3 is solid

  in rotation of the terminal disc 22 by a finger 324

  mounted substantially perpendicularly between these two dis-

  ques. The internal block 3 is thus secured in rotation

relative to socket 2.

  Those skilled in the art thus understand that a forced rotation drive of the internal block 3 and of the sleeve 2 relative to

  on the barrel is made highly difficult, on the one hand by the co-

  screwing 33 with blind holes 103 and, on the other

  leaves by the cooperation of finger 324 with the end disc

  rear mite 32 and the terminal disc 22.

  The chances of shearing pins 7 are therefore greatly reduced. Reference is now made more particularly to FIGS. 8, 8A-12 and 12A to describe in more detail the different

  washers and discs housed in sleeve 2. For these

  gures, those with a number which is not assigned the suffix A illustrate a view from the front and those with the suffix A illustrate a view from the left in relation to the front view. Likewise, in order to facilitate understanding, those skilled in the art will note that these figures have been ordered on the same board, from the bottom thereof (Figures 8 and 8A) to the top thereof ( Figures 12 and 12A), of

  315 intended to cooperate with the threaded rods of the screws 33.

  At the periphery of this front end disc, three notches 316a, 316b, 316c are provided, the functions of which will be explained below. If we take as a reference axis

  a longitudinal axis of symmetry of the slot 312, that is

  i.e. a vertical axis, oriented from bottom to top (the bottom being on the bottom side of the board and the top being on the top side of the board), the notch 316a is located in a direction making an angle of 20 with respect to this reference axis, the notch 316b is located in a direction making an angle of approximately 70 relative to this reference axis, while the notch 316c is

  substantially diametrically opposite to the notch 316a.

  FIGS. 9 and 9A represent one of the shaped coding washers 30. There are two passages on this washer 30

  screws 305 homologated with threaded holes 315 on the ex disc

  front end 31. Are also provided at the periphery

  of this washer, three notches 306a, 306b, 306c homo-

  notches 316a, 316b, 316c of the front end disc 31. This coding washer 30 is crossed from its front face 300 to its rear face 301 by a key passage 302 having a general cross-shaped profile but adapted to cooperate with the corresponding part of the bit of the key 4. In fact, each washer has a passage 302 having a profile adapted to its position in the internal block 3 and corresponding to the part of the bit with which it

  will cooperate. All the profiles of the passages 302 of all

  your these washers 30 then defines a conjugate profile of that of the panetons 40 of the key 4 and in fact defines a coded combination allowing only the introduction of the key

  whose paneton presents the conjugate profile.

  FIGS. 10 and 10A illustrate the intermediate disc 34 of the internal block 3. The key passage 342 of this intermediate disc has a cross-shaped profile with substantially equal branches. Are also provided at the periphery of this intermediate disc, three notches 346a, 346b, 346b counterparts of the notches 316a, 316b, 316c of the front end disc 31. Found on this intermediate disc, two screw passages 345, passing through this disc from its front face 340 to its rear face 341 and counterparts of the threaded holes 315. This intermediate disc is preferably interposed between two coding washers, substantially halfway between the two front and rear end discs. It thus ensures greater cohesion of the stack of coding washers and thereby makes any attempt to twist them more difficult. It can also allow a more

  high resistance to possible drilling of the internal block.

  Those skilled in the art will understand that the transverse notches 45 of the panons of the key will cooperate with the cross profile of the passage 342 of this intermediate disc in order to be able to admit the panets of this key first until

  rear end disc then authorize their rotation.

  Of course, the depth of the transverse notches depends on the length of the branches of the profile of the passage 342. Similarly, the longitudinal position of these transverse notches depends on the position of the intermediate disc in the stack

coding washers.

  Figures 11 and 1A illustrate the rear end disc.

  These means 328 forming a projection are capable of cooperating with the longitudinal notches 44 located at the front of the bits of the key. The height of these studs 328 and the depth of the

  longitudinal notches 44 are adjusted to allow coo-

  perations. It could have been envisaged to provide the rear end disc only with a single stud 328 located along the transverse axis of symmetry of the passage slot. In this case, in theory,

  a single longitudinal notch 44 would be necessary on the key.

  However, its ambiguity on the position should be removed when the key is inserted into the barrel so that it

  can cooperate with pad 328. -

  It is still better to plan in all cases

  two symmetrical longitudinal notches 44.

  In a housing 323 on the rear face 321 of this rear end disc 32, located in the upper part of this

  disc between the housing 325 and the notch 326a, is solid

  duly arranged the finger 324 extending backwards

  substantially perpendicular to the rear face 321.

  Also found in this rear end disc

  two blind holes 327 arranged diametrically opposite each other

  seated on the periphery of this disc and suitable for accommodating the two

pins 7.

  Figures 12 and 12A illustrate the terminal disc 22 pos-

  seducing its passage slot 222 passing right through from its front face 220 to its rear face 221. This passage slot is horizontal. On the front face 220, in its upper part, a blind hole 223 is formed,

  counterpart of the housing 323 and in which is intended to be

  three shutter members of the slot 322 of the ex-disc

  Each shutter member comprises an axis to which is connected at a first end, substantially perpendicular to the axis, an arm which a person skilled in the art commonly calls a ratchet. At a predetermined distance from this ratchet,

  connects substantially perpendicular to the axis, therefore

  if parallel to the ratchet, a pusher intended to cooperate with the panetons of the key. Figures 13, 14 and 15 respectively illustrate, very schematically, a front view of the three ratchets while the figures assigned the suffix A illustrate the profile of the corresponding ratchet, while the affected figure illustrates the profile of the pusher

  corresponding. All these figures are represented here in-

  depending on the position of the barrel entry slot.

  As regards the first obturation member 6a (FIGS. 13, 13A, 13B), the pusher 62a is located in the vicinity of the end of the axis 61a opposite to that to which the ratchet 60a is connected. This ratchet comprises a body 606a, connected to the axis 61a, to which a spout 607a is attached by means of a neck forming a notch 600a. 607a spout has

  a flat surface 601a connecting to the bottom 609a of the sample

  crure. This flat bearing 601a is extended by a part

  set back substantially flat 602a which itself

  runs along a convex part 603a, that is to say turning its concavity towards the notch 600a, in order to be connected

to axis 61a.

  The shutter member 6b has a pusher 62b located sens-

  only halfway between ratchet 60b and the end

  free from axis 61b. This pusher 62b has a spout.

  Ratchet 60b (Figure 14A) has a support 600b sensi-

  flatly connecting to the axis 61b by a small tail folded at right angles to the average longitudinal direction of the support 600b. On this support 600b, is provided

  a substantially flat protrusion 60 lb, comprising a pre-

  mier pointed sector 602b and a second pointed sector 607b,

  separated from each other by two notches 606b and 605b.

  The first notch 606b is located on the side of the axis 61b while the second notch 605b is located opposite the first. The first pointed sector 602b comprises a first branch 604b, connected to the first notch 606b, and a second branch 603b connected to the first branch

  604b, to form the point, as well as the second interchange

  crure 605b. The second pointed sector 607b has its direct point

  opposite the tip of the first pointed sector and

  has a first branch 609b connected to the first é-

  notch 606b, as well as a second branch 610b connected to the first branch 609b as well as to the second notch

605b.

  The third shutter member 6c also includes a pusher 62c located near the end of the shaft

  61c opposite to that to which the ratchet 60c is connected.

  gaskets for closing the passage slot 322. All these figures represent a view of the rear of the rear terminal disc fitted with the ratchets and correspond to the arrangement

in Figure 11.

  In FIG. 16, the three ratchets occupy a first position in which the passage slot 322 of the rear end disc 32 is closed. In FIG. 18, these three ratchets occupy a second position in which the passage slot 322 is released. Finally, in FIG. 17, these three ratchets occupy an intermediate position between

  the first and second position.

  When the internal block 3 is completely assembled, the notches 316a, 326a, 346a and all of the notches 306a form a first longitudinal groove, located at the periphery of the internal block and in which the shaft 61a of the first member will be housed. shutter 6a. The ratchet 60a is then liable to move in rotation in a plane parallel to that of the rear face of the rear end disc, and the pusher 62a is then located within the set of coding washers 30 to. a place where it is likely to meet the 40 bit, and that the man

  By their respective location, we see that the ratchets 60a and 60c extend substantially at the periphery of the disc

  rear end 32. They are, moreover, located sensitive-

  lie in the same plane parallel to the rear face of this

rear end disc.

  Elastic return means, such as springs, are provided within the internal block at the level of each closure member. These means are not shown on

  the different figures for reasons of simplification.

  They are respectively arranged so that, in their rest position (that is to say in particular in the absence of a key), the three ratchets occupy the first so-called shutter position

of slot 322.

  The support 600b of the ratchet 60b is rotated in a plane situated between the rear face 321 of the rear end disc 32 and the plane in which the two ratchets 60a and c are rotated. On the other hand, the protuberance 601b of this ratchet 60b moves substantially in the same plane

  than that of the displacement of the two other ratchets 60a and 60b.

  During this rotation the ratchets were brought into their second position by the panons of the key 4 and the latter is then introduced further back into the lock device until it passes the exit slot of the rear wall of the socket so that the panetons can drive at least one bolt of the lock to open the door. When the panetons have completely crossed the slot 322, the ratchets are held in their second position by the contact of the rod 41

  of the key on the first notch 606b of the ratchet 60b.

  Indeed, in the absence - of this contact, the ratchets would return to their first position under the effect of the elastic return. This contact is maintained during the path of the panetons from the slot 322 to the bolt passing through the outlet slot 212, as well as during the reverse path. During the reverse rotation of the keys of the key, with a view to its extraction from the barrel, the cooperation of the keys of the key and the pushers as well as the action of the elastic return means bring the ratchets back into their

Claims   1. - Lock device of the type comprising a fixed barrel   (!) securely housing a socket (2) which securely houses-   in turn an internal block (3) comprising a battery   shaped coding washers (30), integrally enclosed   between two end discs (31,32), suitable for ad-   put the panetons (40) of a key (4) up to a stop, to control the rotation of these panetons (40) and allow them or not to pass through an outlet slot (212), arranged in   the end wall (21) of the sleeve (2), for purposes of   dragging of at least one pin, characterized in that the internal block (3) further comprises an intermediate disc (34)   located between the two end discs (31,32) and com-   carrying a passage (342) suitable for allowing the access of the panetons of the key to said stop as well as their rotation. 2. - Device according to claim 11, characterized in that these means comprise two studs (328) extending substantially perpendicular to the front face of the disc rear terminal.   13. - Device according to one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the internal block is secured in a ro-   tation of the barrel by means of connecting means (33) connected to the front end disc (31) of the internal block (3), and to the rear face (101) of the inlet wall (10), or front wall, of the barrel (1).   14. - Device according to claim 13, characterized in that said connecting means also form at least part of attachment means making it possible to securely enclose the set of shaped coding washers (30)   between the two end discs (31,32).   15. - Device according to claim 14, characterized in that the attachment means comprise two screws (33) whose respective heads (330) are respectively housed in two housings (325) of the rear end disc (32) and   whose ends (331) of the threaded rods cooperate   pectively with threaded holes (315) in the end disc   front mite (31) and in that these screws (33) have a length slightly greater than the distance separating the rear face of the rear end disc from the front face of the front end disc so as to be fitted respectively in two blind holes (101) formed in the rear face   (101) of the front wall (10) of the barrel (1).   16. - Device according to one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the internal block (3) comprises three arms (60a, 60b, 60c), all three of which are rotated by the flaps of the key, under elastic return, substantially parallel to the rear face (321) of the disc d rear end (32), between the latter and the end disc (22), between a first position in which they cooperate with each other by their respective profiles to close the passage slot (322) of the rear end disc, and a second position in which said slot passage (322) is released.   17. - Device according to claim 16, -characterized in that each arm is respectively connected substantially perpendicularly to a shaft extending longitudinally to the internal block, in a respective groove located at its periphery, this shaft being provided with a pusher, extending substantially parallel to the arm, and located in the set of shaped coding washers (30) to cooperate under   elastic reminder with the keys of the key.   18. - Device according to one of claims 16 and 17,   characterized in that two of the arms (60a, 60c) extend substantially around the periphery of the rear end disc (32) substantially in the same plane and in that the third arm (60b) has a movable support (600b) rotating in a plane between the plane of rotation of the two arms   peripherals and the rear side of the rear end disc   rière, this support being provided with a protrusion located   in the plane of rotation of the two peripheral arms   risks, and having a profile cooperating with the profile of the two peripheral arms.   19. -
