Abstract

This windscreen wiper device of the type including a first arm 1 intended to be mounted so as to rotate about a first fixed spindle 11, and a second arm intended to be mounted so as to rotate about a second fixed spindle 21, offset substantially parallel to it, the two arms 1, 2 being substantially parallel, the ends of the arms which are remote from the rotation spindles being joined together by a small connecting rod 3 which, carrying a main blade 30, is articulated to each end, as well as a secondary windscreen wiper blade 40, is characterised in that the said secondary windscreen wiper blade 40 is arranged in an articulated manner in parallel under one of the arms.

Claims

1) A wiper device of the kind comprising a first arm (1) intended to be rotatably mounted around a first fixed axis (11), and a second arm intended to be rotatably mounted around a second fixed axis (11) 21), substantially offset parallel to it, the two arms (1, 2) being substantially parallel, the ends of the arms remote from the axes of rotation being connected to each other by a link (3) which, carrying a main brush (30), is articulated on each end, as well as a secondary wiper blade (40), characterized in that said secondary wiper blade (40) is arranged in an articulated manner parallel under one of the arms.

2) A wiper device according to claim 1, characterized in that said secondary blade is disposed under the auxiliary arm (2).

3) Wiper device according to claim 2, characterized in that said secondary blade (40) is articulated on the same assembly head (22) as that on which is articulated the second arm (2) which is constituted a profile (24) extended by a casing (25).

4) A wiper device according to claim 2, characterized in that said second blade (40) is mounted at the end of a brush holder (4) consisting of a profile (44) extended by a housing ( 45).

5) A wiper device according to claim 4, characterized in that said housing (45) is of dimensions slightly smaller than those of the housing (25) under which it is arranged.

6) A wiper device according to claim 3, characterized in that said assembly head (22) has a first bore (52) for the passage of the articulation axis of the arm (2), and a second bore (54) intended for the passage of the hinge pin of the brush holder (4).

8) A wiper device according to one of claims 3, 6 or 7, characterized in that the upper face (51) of said head (22) has two shoulders (55,56) against which are positioned said housings (25,45) which are articulated to it.
