Abstract

The corners of the picture frames (14) are held on vertical panels (11,12) on either side of a display counter (6). The counter is flat and horizontal and above it there is a flat mirror (13). This is inclined at 45 deg. to the horizontal and is directed towards the counter and the customer. The customer puts his picture (8) with the frame round it, flat on the counter. The image (8') of the picture is viewed by the customer in the mirror on a vertical plane. The mirror is at a height which is slightly greater than a man's height.   The present invention relates to a counter display for a general public framing workshop. It also relates to a workshop

  for the general public equipped with at least one such counter front.

  Referring to all of Figures 1 to 3, this storefront 1 is integrated into a framing workshop 2 "island". Storefront 1

  is delimited laterally by two cylindrical pillars 3,4, and upper-

  rement by a horizontal tube 5 which is an integral part of the tubular chassis of the workshop 2. In the middle is a counter 6 whose

  work table 7 is flat, horizontal, and located halfway up the man.

  This work table 7 is large enough to receive flat

  The counter 6, which in this example has a horizontal semicircular section, is bordered laterally, respectively on each of its two sides 9,10, by two vertical metal panels 11,12 furnished with hooks 13 which are each able to support so removable a framing angle 14.   The client-user lays down his rectangular proof 8 on

  the horizontal work table 7 of the counter 6. He chooses on the present

  roofs 11,12 the angles 16 which he likes (Figure 1) and places them around this test, with possible interposition of a "master key" between each angle and the test. For example, he places two angles 16 against two diametrically opposite corners of the proof 8. For this operation, the user 15 is standing in front of the counter 6. Looking in the mirror 13, he then sees the virtual image 8 'of test 8, partially framed, on a vertical plane located at a distance. He realizes thus, without having to move the test 8 and without having to move himself, the effect that will give his table 8 when framed and hung against a vertical wall. As seen in Figure 3, the front I takes a

  nes and work tables which allow the skilled worker to carry out the framing using moldings conforming to those constituting the angles 16 chosen by the client. It comprises for example a machine 17 for cutting moldings, a machine 18 for assembling and stapling the frames, and a horizontal work plan 19. The chassis being tubular,

  the workshop is very airy and visible to everyone. A small additional counter

  shut up 20 is even planned at half a man's length along another side of the workshop, to allow a client to interact with the worker

  without interrupting him in his work.

  The layout of workshop 2 shown in Figure 3 is not the only possible one. Still being an island workshop, it is possible, as shown diagrammatically in FIG. 4, to design it with two storefronts 1 and 1 ′ in accordance with the invention and placed respectively on two adjacent sides of the workshop. Finally, this workshop can also be set up on a gable

(figure 5) or at an angle (figure 6).

  Of course, the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment

  One could provide either a single display panel 11 or 12, or on the contrary more than two display panels. The display panels 11, 12, ..., could all be placed on the same side of the counter 6 in
