Abstract

The present invention provides extra-flexible and lightweight spectacles composed of two spectacle lenses 1 connected by a bridge 2, and including two sides 3 made of flexible metal wire, these sides being sleeved at their ends. The bridge 2 is fixed to the opposing edges of the lenses by adhesive bonding and the sides 3 are fixed to the outer edges by means of pads 6 adhesively bonded to the said outer edges. The bridge 2 is fitted with two angle elements (brackets) 5 in order to stiffen it. The ends of the sides 3 passing through the pads 6 comprise two bends 11 and 12 before and after passing through the respective pads 6 of the side 3. The spectacles according to the present invention are unbreakable and have a low weight, a weight as low as 17 g being achieved.

Description

The present invention relates to extra-flexible rimless glasses. These extra-flexible glasses come with two glasses, a trigger guard connecting the two glasses, two studs located along the side of the glass and two non-rigid branches.

The first glasses made available to the visually impaired were glasses with frames and frigid temples. The rigidity of these glasses being a drawback, significant efforts have been made to make them more flexible, but also to reduce their weight while retaining their resistance to ill-treatment.

In addition, it was necessary to innovate on the aesthetic level to adapt the glasses to the personality and taste of the user, in order to present an aesthetic character according to the evolution of fashion.

The most used raw materials are synthetic materials, metal, tortoiseshell and even wood.

Glasses without frames are also known, that is to say without open or closed rings of the frame. The arms and bridges are fixed directly to the glass by screwing, the screws passing through the glass through bores. This system has the advantage of lightening the glasses. However, during an effort on the glasses, at the bores, the glasses break easily, and many users give it up because of the expense involved in their frequent replacement.

The present invention proposes to remedy this drawback by further reducing the weight until a pair of 17 g glasses is obtained. about.

Extra-soft rimless glasses include
- the glasses,
- a trigger guard connecting the two glasses and glued on both sides to the edge parts of the glasses,
- two studs located along the edge of the glasses on the branch side, these studs being connected to the glasses by gluing,
- two non-rigid branches connected to said studs, optional, the extra-flexible glasses include a nose clip and a bracket located on the trigger guard.

The trigger guard connecting the two glasses of glasses is such that the two glasses form between them a flat angle and / or a dihedral. The value (or magnitude) of the flat angle and / or the dihedral depends on the choice of the optician; value set by the shape of the trigger guard.

The elasticity maintains the angle after temporary deformation.

The trigger guard is glued to the edge of the glass, this to avoid encroaching on the optical field. Bonding requires a strong glue, of the type of the said "Superglu" mark, with which bonding can be carried out in 10 to 20 seconds. The same glue is used to glue the other elements described below.

The material of the trigger guard is PVC plasticized with diisooctyl phthalate of the said brand RESINOPLAST.

The stud used to make the branch green relationship is drilled along its main axis on the narrowest faces; a channel connecting the upper face of the stud to its lower face receives one end of the branch so as to allow it to pivot.

The stud is glued along the edge of the glass on the branch side so as to encroach as little as possible on the optical field of the glass. However, it is the largest surface which is bonded so as to present the most grip on the glass.

The stud is made of plastic, like the trigger guard. It has a parallelepiped shape, with dimensions of 8 x 5 x 3 mm for example.

Les branches de lunettes sont non rigides. The branches of glasses are not rigid.

Elles sont réalisées en corde à piano de diamètre moyen de 6/10 de mm.They are made of piano wire with an average diameter of 6/10 mm.

The ends of the branches, on the glass side, are made of rigid metal wire, bent, twice, at right angles, essentially before and after passing through the perforated stud, glued to the glass.

The ends of the branches protruding from the studs have the shape of a stick so as not to damage, during their pivoting, the glass on which they could rub, and thus deteriorate the glass. The length of these projecting ends of the studs is of the order of 2 mm.

The part of the branch surrounding the ear is sheathed, with, on its end, a drop of methacrylic ester resin of the type of said mark
LOCKTITE GLASSBOND.

The glasses according to the present invention may include a nose clip glued to the fields of the glasses, below the trigger guard, either separate or integrated with the trigger guard. The nose clip is an unnecessary part of the glasses, but by its shape it conditions comfort and optical accuracy.

Are added to the trigger guard two brackets glued to the upper part of the trigger guard. These brackets have the advantage of reducing the flexibility of the trigger guard.

Sans elles, l'ensemble plie trop facilement.Without them, the whole thing bends too easily.

The brackets have three sides, two being substantially orthogonal to each other, straight, the third side having the shape of a curved line.

The spectacle lenses can be made of organic and / or mineral material. For plastic plastic glasses, glue from said SUPERGLU brand and glue from said brand are used with advantage.
GLASSBOND rather for mineral glasses.

Figure I shows an overview of the glasses. We can see the two glasses 1 on which the bridge 2 are glued, the nose clip 4, the stud 6 and two brackets 5 glued to the bridge 2. Each branch 3 is made up of a metal wire made of piano cord, the ear side part being sheathed by a sheath 7, its end 7 being terminated by a drop of methacrylic ester resin of the type of said brand GLASSBOND from LOCKTITE.

FIG. 2 represents a rear view of the trigger guard 2. The trigger guard 2 is glued to the fields 13 of the glasses 1 so as not to encroach on the optical field.

FIG. 3 represents a top view of the trigger guard 2 glued to the field 13 of the glass 1.

Figure 4 is a 3/4 me face of the trigger guard. We see that the trigger guard 2 and the stud 6 are glued on the same plain horizontal, de.façon to keep an analogy with other glasses.

FIG. 5 represents a view of the trigger guard 2 and the nose clip 4 on the glasses 1. In this figure, trigger guard and nose clip form an assembly; they are glued to the fields 13 of the glasses 1. However, as was raised above, the trigger guard 2 then the nose clip 4 can be glued to the fields 13 of the glasses 1 separately.

6 shows the brackets 5, glued to the trigger guard 2, the assembly being glued to the fields 13 of the glasses 1. The figure shows that these brackets arranged on the orthogonal sides of the upper part of the trigger guard 2 effectively reduce the flexibility from the whole
FIG. 7 is a view of the stud 6. The stud 6 is drilled on its upper face 9 and on its lower face 10, thus creating a channel 14 through which the end of the branch 3 passes.

FIG. 8 is a view of the stud 6 and of the glass 1 with the branch 3 which passes through the channel 14 of the stud 6. We see the two cubits 11 and 12. The sew 12 is terminated by a slightly curved end of branch of so as not to damage the glass 1. This stud 6 and. the first cubit 11 delimit the opening angle of the branch 3.

The present invention is not limited to the examples of the various components of these glasses. Other elements can be brought within the framework of the present invention which would be within the reach of those skilled in the art.

In addition, the means for manufacturing the trigger guard, the branches, the brackets, the nose clip or the studs are not described because they are known. They can be obtained for example from a mold manually or automatically.
