Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus for the introduction of intra-uterine devices into the uterine cavity, comprising a guide, in which is placed an intra-uterine device 2, a limiter 3 mounted on this guide with the possibility of movement, and a rod 4 intended for moving the intra-uterine device 2 and which is located inside the guide. According to the invention, the guide 1 comprises a slot 5 for guiding outwards a wire 6 from the intra-uterine device, which is used for dynamic observation and visual monitoring of the correct position of this intra-uterine device 2 in the uterine cavity 12, the said slot extending parallel to the axis of symmetry of all of the apparatus and over the entire length of the guide 1. The invention is intended for the field of gynaecology, with a view to fitting intra-uterine devices more rapidly, conveniently, safely and precisely, than by using current techniques.
