Abstract

Device for uterine catheterisation for the purpose of performing hysterographies and insufflation of the Fallopian tubes. The invention relates to a device allowing injection, without pain and without reflux, a radiopaque liquid, antibiotics, or alternatively any other liquid, under pressure, into the uterine cavity. It consists of a tube 5, with two upper orifices 9 and 10 and a lower orifice 7, it is 45 cm long. An inflatable balloon 2 is located half a centimetre from its upper end. This balloon 2 measures 2.5 cm. It is made of elastic rubber, or alternatively any other appropriate material. 1.5 cm from the end of this balloon, a collar of plastic or other rigid or semirigid material is adhesively bonded. This collar measures at least 1.5 cm in diameter, and has the thickness of at least 4 mm. The inlet of the device and the inflation valve are situated at the lower end of the device.
