Abstract

Claims

1) Method for taking the bags one by one from a stack of bags and placing them in a predetermined position, characterized in that it consists in sliding part of the upper wall of the upper bag (12) from the stack (16 ) on another part of this upper wall, to form a fold, and to raise by this fold the upper wall to open the bag.

2) Method according to claim 1, characterized in that the fold is perpendicular to the opening edge of the bag.

3) Method according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it consists in placing, on a part of the upper wall of the bag, a plate (42) provided with means (40) for hooking this wall and to be moved this plate towards another plate (30) placed on another part of the upper wall of the bag, to bring the first plate (42) over the second and maintain between them a fold of the upper wall of the bag.

4) Method according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that it then consists in introducing two fingers (52) with external threaded surface in the opening of the bag, in moving these two fingers opposite one on the other to bring them into abutment on the edge of the bag, and to rotate them around their axis to move the opening edge of the bag on the fingers (52) to a reference position determined by stop on a fixed support face (62) provided on each finger (52).

5) Method according to claim 4, characterized in that it then consists in transporting the bag (12) by means of the fingers (52), for example to a filling station (46).

6) Device for taking one by one bags from a stack of bags and placing them in a predetermined position, characterized in that it comprises means (22, 24) for forming a fold on the upper wall of the upper bag (12 ) of the stack (16) and to lift by this fold this upper wall and thus open the bag, the aforementioned means comprising means (22, 30) for holding part of the upper wall of the bag and means (24, 40 ) to bring on this part, by sliding, another part of the upper wall of the bag.

7) Device according to claim 6, characterized in that the aforementioned means (22, 24) are mounted on a support (26) movable in translation in a plane perpendicular to the surface of the bag (12).

8) Device according to claim 6 or 7, characterized in that the aforementioned means comprise a fixed plate or sole (30) bearing on the upper wall of the bag, and a movable plate (42), mounted for voting around an axis (32) parallel to the bag (12) and comprising means (40) for hooking the upper wall of the bag.

9) Device according to claim 8, characterized in that the bag (12) being of textile material, the hooking means (40) are constituted by claws or retractable needles.

10) Device according to claim 9, characterized in that the tips of claws or needles (40) pass through a plate (44) movable in translation over a short stroke and urged by compression springs to a position where it covers the tips of claws or needles.

11) Device according to one of claims 6 to 10, characterized in that the fold of the upper wall of the bag is perpendicular to the opening edge of the bag.

12) Device according to one of claims 6 to 11, characterized in that it comprises two fingers (52) parallel to the threaded outer surface, intended to be engaged in the opening of a bag (12), means ( 54) to move the fingers towards one another and opposite one another in a direction perpendicular to their axis, means for driving each finger (52) in rotation about its axis, a support (56) carrying the fingers (52) and their aforementioned means of movement, and means for moving the support (56) between a position for picking up a bag by the pins (52) and a position for filling the bag.

13) Device according to claim 12, characterized in that each finger (52) is rotatably mounted about its axis in a bearing or housing (62) forming a positioning stop for the edge of the opening of a bag (12) .

14) Device according to one of claims 6 to 13, characterized in that it comprises a rod (64) movable in translation, during the gripping of the upper bag, between the latter and the immediately lower bag of the stack ( 16).

15) Device according to one of claims 6 to 14, characterized in that the stack (16) of bags is carried by a lifting table (20).
