Abstract

The invention relates to cutting tools and, more especially, to those which are designed for cutting up average-width composite-fibre tapes, and which may be incorporated into a dispensing case. It comprises a cutting means which combines a cursor (slide) and a blade which are incorporated into casings which are respectively placed in the front parts 4 and 5 of a case hinged into two shells 31 and 32. This case is kept closed by a tab 3 and may be half opened in order to advance the tape stored in a refill device 81 by means of a knurled advancing wheel 73. The invention will be used advantageously in a first-aid box for dispensing the required length of adhesive bandage.

Description

The main patent relates to a cutting device integrated into a dispenser box, the action of successively opening and closing said box, activates the progressive advancement of the cutting strip contained in the box.

The present addendum to this patent defines an improvement to the means for locking the box, the system for advancing the strip to be cut and the reloading of the box.

For this purpose, this additive is characterized by the fact that the driving table integral with one of the shells of the case receives on the one hand a cylinder ensuring the extraction of the material to be cut and the maintenance of the refill containing this material , this notched cylinder being integral with an outer wheel provided with locking teeth and non-return teeth, and on the other hand, a wall substantially perpendicular to the table and defining an orifice for the passage of the material to be cut, two tabs acting spring on the other shell of the box for opening the box and a hook tab acting as a locking mechanism for said box in the closed position or between open.

The drawings appended by way of nonlimiting example make it possible to better understand the new characteristics and the advantages of these improvements.

Figure 1 shows in perspective the housing, the feed table which also performs the locking functions, the notched cylinder and its wheel ensuring inter alia the maintenance of the refill on the table.

Figure 2 shows schematically a section of the housing in the closed position.

Figure 3 is a perspective view of the refill with its dispensing spout cooperating with the table and the feed cylinder.

Figure 4 shows a variant of the case adaptable to a large format cylindrical refill.

Figure 5 shows a refill variant of rectangular parallelepiped shape, adaptable to the indented box.

Figure 6 shows the detail of the special blade used on the case to facilitate assembly.

According to Figure I, we see the case consisting of two shells (31) and (32) hinged together by means of a hinge (42). The feed table (65) which is housed in the shell (31) and which is retained by the tongues (66) integral with this shell, while lugs (67) arranged on the legs of the table ensure the blocking of the latter by cooperating with windows (68) arranged on the sides of the shell (31).

The table (65) has at its ends bearings (69) on which the notched cylinder (70) is clipped at its axis (71).

The end (72) of the axis of the notched cylinder is grooved in order to better join with the drive wheel (73) and allow locking.

The drive wheel (73) is provided with non-return teeth (74) on its internal face which cooperate with a non-return pawl (75) integral with the shell (31) so as not to push the material to be cut into the box. and defuse training.

The feed table (65) carries in its front part a substantially perpendicular wall on which are arranged two spring effect tabs (76) which act on the cover (32) of the housing.

The two spring effect tabs (76) are located on either side of the locking tab (3), the end of which carries two hooks (77) and (78) which respectively lock in the closed position or between open by cooperating with the orifice (79) arranged on the top of the shell (32) of the case.

The front wall of the table carries a window (80) which allows the passage of the dispensing spout of the interchangeable refill (81) which contains the material to be cut.

The side wall of the cover (32) carries a notch (82) for the passage of the end of the axis (72) of the notched cylinder. A lug (82 ') located at the bottom of the notch (82) cooperates with the grooves at the end (72) to lock the cylinder when the case is closed.

According to Figure 2, we can see the case in the closed position. The table (65) is held integral with the shell (31) at the level of the pins (67).

The bearings (69) receive the notched cylinder (70) which keeps the interchangeable refill (81) in position.

The locking tab (3) passes through the cover (32) at the orifice (79) and the front hook (77) ensures the locking in the closed position while the rear hook (78) limits the opening of the cover during the advance of the material to be cut.

A support (95) in the form of a square, provided with two lugs (96) can cooperate with two wells (97) arranged on the shell (31) to fix the case on a wall or on a table at the level of the adhesive surfaces ( 98) or by screw fixing.

According to Figure 3, we see the interchangeable refill (81) which can be performed in thermoforming and which comprises two half-shells (83) articulated at a hinge (84).

The dispensing spout of this refill locks laterally at the cutouts (85) on the cylinder holder bearings of the feed table.

The notched cylinder maintains the refill on the feed table at the lower part (86) of the dispensing spout. A notch (87) which is arranged in the upper part of the spout allows the notched cylinder to entrain the material to be cut and a non-return tab (88) prevents any accidental defusing.

In Figure 4, we see a variant in which the housing is indented (89) and is adapted to a cylindrical refill (81 ') of large diameter ensuring greater storage.

 In Figure 5, we see the indented case (89) which adapts to a refill in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped (90) in which the material to be cut is stored in accordion (91).

In Figure 6, we see the detail of the special blade (15) provided with two holes (92) which allow to position it on the pins (93) of the blade holder (7) which cooperate with the holes (94) of the door blade (7 ') for assembly.

The invention will find a particularly interesting application for packaging and custom cutting gauze bandages or adhesive bandages.

There are multiple applications for cutting all strips of composite fiber and textile.

The interchangeable refills avoid any manipulation of the product and ensure a hypoallergenic mode of packaging.

R E V E N D i C A T i O N S 1. Cutting device in particular for a dressing intended to cut to measure strips of medium width of textile or composite fiber, combining a slider and a blade which are respectively integrated in casings, according to claims 1 of the main patent, placed in the front parts, of a box articulated in two shells comprising a feed table (65), according to application No. 85 07518, characterized in that this table supports on the one hand, a notched cylinder (70) driven by a external wheel (73) which ensures the advancement of the material to be cut contained in an interchangeable refill (81) while maintaining said refill on the feed table, and that on the other hand, it has a front wall in which is arranged an orifice for the passage of the material to be cut (80), two spring effect tabs (76) located on either side of the locking tab (3) which cooperates with an orifice (79) arranged in the cover (32 ) of the case. 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the notched cylinder (70) is fixed by its axis (71) on bearings (69) placed at the ends of the feed table (65) and that one end ( 72) of the axis is grooved to adapt to the centering wheel (73) and allow locking in the closed position of the box. 3. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that the drive wheel (73) carries notches (74) on its internal face which cooperates with a non-return pawl (75) located on the wall of the shell (31) of the case to limit the rotation in the only direction of advance of the material to be cut. 4. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that the grooved end (72) of the axis of the cylinder (70) cooperates with a lug (82 ') arranged on the side of the shell (32) of the housing to lock the wheel (73) when closing the case. 5. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the interchangeable refill (81) comprises a dispensing spout delimited by cutouts (85) which bear laterally on the bearings (69) of the feed table and that a notch (87) allows the notched cylinder (70) to drive the material to be cut while maintaining the refill on the feed table at the lower part (86) of this refill. An anti-return tab (88) preventing any accidental defusing of the material to be cut. 6. Device according to claim I, characterized in that the two spring effect tabs (76) located on either side of the locking tab (3) tend to limit the closing of the cover (32) of the housing. 7. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the locking tab of the housing (3) carries on its end, on the one hand, a front hook (77) which cooperates with the cover (32) of the housing to maintain this last in closed position now the spring effect tabs (76) in tension, and on the other hand a rear hook (78) which cooperates with the cover (32) of the housing to limit the opening of the latter when the housing is between open for advancing the material to be cut. 8. Device according to claim I, characterized in that the housing can be adapted on a square support (95) provided with two lugs (96) which cooperate with two wells (97) arranged on the housing (31) of the housing . This square support can be fixed on a wall or on a table by means of screws or by gluing on the adhering surfaces (98).  9. Device according to claim I, characterized in that the housing can be notched (89) at the shells (31) and (32) in order to adapt to a large capacity refill with a larger diameter (81 '). 10. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the indented case (89) can also adapt to a refill of rectangular parallelepiped shape (90) in which the material to be cut (91) is stored in accordion. 11. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that to facilitate mounting, the blade (15) carries two bores (92) which allow it to be positioned on the pins (93) of the blade holder (7) which cooperate with the bores (94) of the blade holder (7 ') during sandblasting.
