Abstract

Feeding device for a continuously operating crystalliser, consisting of a vessel 20 divided by vertical partitions 24 into a plurality of compartments through which the mass passes in succession as it crystallises and into which an undersaturated solution of the product to be crystallised is introduced. To allow the feeding of two compartments with undersaturated solution by means of a single rotary dispenser while ensuring effective washing of the partition separating them, a rotary distributor is placed above the partition 24, and is equipped with a first nozzle 38 which produces a narrow jet spraying the upper part of the walls of the said compartments other than the said partition, and with a second nozzle 42 which produces a wide, conically shaped jet which sprays the upper part of the said partition, on both its faces.
