Abstract

The present invention relates to a safety stopper preventing the refilling of a bottle, characterised in that it comprises a cylindrical body 3 whose upper and lower bases 5 are pierced with passage orifices 7, 10 for liquid and a flexible valve 2 open at its lower section and provided at its upper section with a slit substantially parallel to the bases of the said body, the lower section of this valve being fixed on the lower base 5 of the stopper in such a way as to cover the passage orifices 7 thereof.

Description

Safety cap preventing refilling of a bottle
The present invention relates to a safety cap preventing the refilling of a bottle without undressing an external retaining capsule.

The stopper according to the invention consists essentially of a cylindrical body, the upper and lower bases of which are pierced with orifices for the passage of liquid and a flexible valve, open at its lower part and provided at its upper part with a slot substantially parallel to the bases of said body, the lower part of this valve being fixed on the lower base of the plug so as to cover the passage openings.

 It is clear that, due to the flexibility of the valve, the liquid may, for emptying the bottle, after having passed the orifices of passage of the lower base of the cap, cause the opening of the valve slot to escape from it and finally exit the bottle through the holes in the upper base of the stopper.

By cons, again due to the flexibility of the valve, the liquid introduced into the upper opening of the plug will cause the valve to crush against the lower base of the plug, thus preventing it from crossing it.

To prevent access from the valve slot to external devices, it is advisable to provide, under the upper passage opening of the plug, a part forming a baffle.

To further increase safety, the passage openings of the lower base of the plug can be made up by thin slots arranged in a star which, in the event of an attempt to fill, cause the valve to crease and to retain it.

By way of non-limiting example, there is shown in the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of a plug according to the invention, a drawing in which - FIG. 1 is a view in axial section of the plug in place.

In the example shown, the stopper is constituted by a cylindrical body 3 provided with a bottom 5 pierced with radial slots 7 and with a flange 8 projecting inwards and delimiting with the side wall of the body 3 a groove 9. The cap has at its upper part an opening 10 under which is suspended a plate 4.

In the groove 9 at the bottom 5, the edge 11 is crimped with a flexible valve 2, in principle made of plastic, the thin wall of which delimits a lateral surface which tapers upwards to form a tongue 12 opening out through a slot. 13 under the plate 4. A metal cap 6 set on the neck of the bottle i fixes the stopper permanently preventing its removal.

From the foregoing description, it is clear that, for emptying the bottle, the liquid which it contains, after having passed through the slots 7 in the bottom 5, passes through the slot 13, spreading the edges thereof, due to the flexibility of the walls. of the tongue 12, then, bypassing the plate 4 comes out through the orifice 10.

In the case of an attempt to fill the bottle, the liquid cannot penetrate into the slot 13, the edges of which are in contact with one another, and causes the tongue 12 to crush against the bottom S A possible passage of liquid would cause bulging down the bottom 5 pierced with radial slots 7 and, as a result, "pleating" of the valve 2, therefore its retention.

 i.- Safety cap characterized by the fact that it comprises a cylindrical body (3) whose upper and lower bases (5) are pierced with orifices for passage (7, 10) of liquid and a flexible valve ( 2), open at its lower part and provided at its upper part with a slot (13) substantially parallel to the bases of said body, the lower part of this valve being fixed on the lower base (5) of the plug so as to cover it the through holes (7). 2.- stopper according to claim 1, wherein is provided under the orifice (iO) of the upper passage of the stopper a part (4) forming a baffle. 3.- stopper according to one of claims 1 or 2 wherein the through holes of the lower base of the stopper are constituted by thin slots (7) arranged in a star.
