Abstract

The present engine relates to instruments of the diesel fuel heating type, making is possible to heat the diesel fuel coming from the tank before passing it into the filter. The device comprises the body of the heater 1, a spiral-wound 06/8 mm copper diesel fuel pipe 2 being located inside the heater, and an electrical 12-volt 150 W electric element 3 which is, itself, immersed at the centre of the diesel fuel pipe 2. A tap 4 serves to open and close the passage for the liquid serving to heat the diesel fuel which is located inside the pipe 2. An aquastat 5 is used for bringing the electric element 3 up to temperature. A switch 6 switches on the aquastat 5. The body of the heater comprises three openings: a 024 mm threaded hole 7 on the top for inserting the electric element 3, one at the top, on the left-hand side 8 for the inlet of the liquid coming from the cylinder head, and one at the bottom, on the right-hand side 8 bis, in order to make the circuit (return to the engine).
