Abstract

The invention relates to a device allowing the heating of gas-oil or fuel oil, fuels used by diesel engines, in the tank, inside the suction pipe. It is constituted by an electrical resistor (heating element) 3 placed in a sleeve 2 which is itself inserted into the suction pipe 6 which is inside the tank, the sleeve being fixed by a weld at the upper part of the elbow bend 12 of the suction pipe. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for heavy goods vehicles, motor cars, agricultural tractors, work-site machines and all fixed vehicles or machines equipped with diesel engines, in order to prevent the fuel (gas-oil or fuel oil) from waxing in cold weather.
