Abstract

The invention relates to a continuous guard-rail support installed at a floor edge. A baluster 100 consists of a first tube 1 carrying the guard-rail supports 11 as well as an arm 2 placed perpendicularly to its longitudinal axis. It comprises a second tube 4, also carrying an arm 5 placed parallel to the first arm 2 and capable of being moved vertically by means of a nut-screw system so that the two arms 2 and 5 clamp the floor P with sufficient force to make the baluster 100 almost integral with this floor P. The invention finds its application in the field of construction, particularly of buildings.
