Abstract

The invention relates to a continuous guard-rail support installed at a floor edge. A baluster 100 consists of a first tube 1 carrying the guard-rail supports 11 as well as an arm 2 placed perpendicularly to its longitudinal axis. It comprises a second tube 4, also carrying an arm 5 placed parallel to the first arm 2 and capable of being moved vertically by means of a nut-screw system so that the two arms 2 and 5 clamp the floor P with sufficient force to make the baluster 100 almost integral with this floor P. The invention finds its application in the field of construction, particularly of buildings.

The object of the present invention is to overcome these drawbacks and
relates to a device capable of serving as a support for shooting protection
which is in the form of a post equipped with means ensuring its
fixing to the floor, means which are an integral part of this post.

The invention relates more precisely to a railing support
running along the edge of the floor consisting of a post carrying means
intended to receive guardrails, characterized in that this post (100)
has an integrated device comprising a clamp with two branches
(2) and (5) sandwiching the floor (P) cooperating with means
providing these two arms (2) and (5) with a pinching effect capable of
make the post (100) almost integral with the floor (P).

The invention will be better understood using the explanations which will
follow and attached figures including:

simultaneously, a support according to the invention is in the form
a post (100), consisting of an outer tube (1) with a square section provided
at its base a first arm (2) fixed perpendicular to this tube (1). This
first arm (2) has two angles (20) reinforced by a gusset
(3).

 In this outer tube (1) enters an inner tube (4) also of square section like the previous one. It in turn comprises a second arm (5) which is fixed to it perpendicularly, the connection of the tube (4) and the arm (5) also being reinforced by any known means such as a gusset (6) for example.

 According to an important characteristic of the invention, these two arms (2) and (5) constitute the two branches of a clamp which, by means described below and in particular illustrated by means of FIG. 3, come apply against the two external faces of the floor (P) and lock against them so that the post (100) is thus almost integral with the floor (P).

 Fastening means (11) are arranged in a known manner along the post at a regulatory height for the installation of the railings not shown in the figures because they are not part of the present invention.

 According to the invention, a threaded rod (7) passes through a plate (8) closing the upper part of the post (100). The upper end of this rod (7) is constituted by a head or nut (9) cooperating with a non-locked lock nut (9a) which prevents the screw (7) from rising. This threaded rod (7) internally crosses the outer tube (1) and supports the inner tube (4) by the action of a nut (10) trapped in the tube (4).

 The pinching effect of the two branches (2) and (5) of the clamp defined above is done as described below. By acting on the screw head (9), the rotation of the screw (7) causes either the ascent, arrow (F1), or the descent, arrow (F2), of the inner tube (4). When the floor (P) is sandwiched between the two arms (2) and (5) (constituting the two arms of the clamp) and a sufficient force is applied in the direction (F1), the effect of pinching becomes such that the post (100) is blocked and made almost integral with the floor (P). I1 is then able to receive, under the safety conditions required by the standards in force, the bodyguards. In the opposite direction, the branch (5) is separated from the branch (2) according to the arrow (F2) and the post can be released from the floor (P).

 The railing support running along the edge of the floor according to the invention is very practical, because it includes in an integrated manner its means of attachment to the floor. It is transportable from site to site, and its installation no longer poses any problem of anchoring in the floor itself.

Claims (4)

 1) Guardrail support spinning on the edge of the floor consisting of a post carrying means intended to receive the guardrails, characterized in that this post (100) integrally comprises a device forming a clamp with two branches (2 ) and (5) sandwiching the floor (P), cooperating with means ensuring these two arms (2) and (5) a pinching effect capable of making the post (100) almost integral with the floor (P).  2) Support according to claim 1, characterized in that this post (100) consists of two tubes (1) and (4) of square section carrying respectively the two branches (2) and (5), the means ensuring pinching effect being constituted by a screw (7) cooperating with a bolt (10) trapped in the tube (4) so that, according to the direction of rotation of the screw (7), the tube (4) and therefore the branch (5) of the clamp enclosing the board (P) translate along (F1) to approach the fixed branch (2), and blocks the post (100) or moves away from it according to (F2), thus allowing the post to be released (100 ) from the floor (P) s  3) Support according to claim 2, characterized in that the screw head (7) comprises a nut (9) cooperating with a lock nut (9a) not blocked which, thanks to a plate (8) closing the upper part of the tube (1), prevents the screw (7) from rising.  4) Support according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the connection of the branches (2) and (5) is reinforced by gussets (3) and (6).
