Abstract

The invention relates to a method and device for driving a driving tube to be driven into the ground. The driving device comprises a driving tube 20 closed at its lower end by a cover 28 so as to define a driving head 22, and is characterised in that it comprises auxiliary driving means 24 making it possible furthermore to drive the upper end 20b of the driving tube 20. These auxiliary driving means preferably comprise an anchor 26 joined by cables 30, 32 to a collar 34 installed at the upper part 20b of the driving tube 20. The invention enables the driving efficiency to be improved.
