Abstract

This certificate of addition refers to European Patent No. 0052174 of 19 September 1984, covering a filter press in which composite components 10 made up of frames and membranes are taken out of the filter for discharging the cakes and for washing the filter fabrics covering the plates 11, remaining in the filter. The addition relates to the application of the same members, transferred from the plates 11 to the composite components 10 and vice versa in order that the composite components 10 should remain in the filter, while it is the plates 11 that come out of and reenter the filter, which still performs the same cyclic operations related to the main patent, for solid/liquid separation in industries and water treatments.

Description

 PRESS FILTER.

The present request for a Certificate of Addition relates to European Patent No. 0 0521 74, concerning a filter press.

The previous state of the art was given to said patent.

According to the said patent and Figures 1, 2 and 3, the filter press comprises a conventional framework and a cylinder (pins 1 b 6 included). In this framework are successively alternated frames / composite parts (10) and plates (11) covered with filter cloth.

Each of the filtration units successively comprises a plate (11) + a fabric a frame (lova) + a membrane (30) + a central intermediate chamber (10c) + a second member (31) + a frame (lob) + a fabric + a tray (it).

The components (10a, 30, 10c, 31, lob) are clamped together to form the composite part (10).

When the filtration, washing and compression of the cakes are finished, the filter is opened by the jack (4), moving the trays (11) of the composite parts (10) apart in the axis of the filter.
With a view to discharging the cakes in a first zone and washing the fabrics in a second zone, the composite parts (10) are pushed out of the filter, horizontally, laterally and perpendicular to the axis of the filter, by means identified ( 7 and 12, 13 to 19 inclusive Figures 1 and 2.)
For fabric washing, each composite part carries on its small vertical side, closest to the axis of the filter when the said parts are out, a washing tubing (20) for the 2 neighboring fabrics, left with the trays (11 ) in the filter.

Each pipe (20) sprays the washing liquid against the fabrics, during the reentry of the frames / composite parts (10) in the filter.

According to the present request for an addition certificate, the above constituent elements, except the pipes (20) for washing the filter fabrics, are the same as in the European patent referenced.

But this time, it is the composite parts (10) which remain in the filter, after their small displacement in its axis.

These are the plates (11) which, after a small movement in the axis of the filter, are taken out of and return to the filter, perpendicular to its axis. the means of movement (7-12) which concerned the plates (11) are now used for the composite parts (10), while the means (13 to 19) which operated the movements of the composite parts (10) are now used for the two displacements of the plates (11)
The composite parts (10) no longer being removed from the filter, the pipes (20) for washing the fabrics, are replaced by fixed pipes (20a) vertical, mounted on a common conduit (22), below or above the filtered.

 Each pipe (20a) is located between two outgoing plates (11), on the side closest to the axis of the filter.

The fabrics are washed during the outing. trays (11) outside the filter, and also during their reentry in the filter.

Claims (1)

CLAIMS. 1. Filter press with horizontal axis, variant / addition  to that of claim 1 of the European patent no 0 052lez and comprising in a resistance framework, a plurality of composite parts (10) and trays (11) one between each pair of composite parts ad # acentes, to apply the system of European patent referenced, namely a plate (t1) + a filter cloth (21) + a frame (10a) receiving a filtered cake + an expandable membrane (30) + a central intermediate chamber (vioc) + a second membrane (31) + a frame (lob) receiving a cake + a filter cloth (21) + a tray (11), the said successive elements (10 a -30 - 10c - 31 - 10 b) forming by assembly the composite part (10); ; characterized in that these are the composite parts (10) which remain in the filter, moving only in its axis, while it is the plates (II) which move in the aforementioned axis and perpendicular to this axis, to exit from and return to the filter, the means and devices for doing this being the same with the referenced European patent and with this request for an addition certificate, but transferred from the composite parts (10) to the plates (li) and vice versa, the pipes (20a) for washing the fabrics (21) becoming fixed and placed vertically between the plates (11) which are out, on their side closest to the axis of the filter.
