Abstract

It is constituted by an angle piece whose flange 1 intended to be oriented horizontally comprises on its lower face semi-cylindrical protrusions 2 whose number is equal to that of the objects of each of the outer rows provided on the tray of the pallet. On sait que pour les opérations de transport, de magasinage et de manutention des marchandises, on fait de plus en plus appel aux plateaux en forme de palettes, susceptibles d'être aisément manipules à l'aide de chariots élévateurs à fourche. Claims

1. Shimming element for palletizing barrels and other articles of cylindrical shape, characterized in that it is constituted by an angle in a rigid or semi-rigid material including that (1) of the wings (1, 4) which is intended to be oriented horizontally comprises on its inner wall a series of projections (2) equal in number to that of the barrels or other articles (8) of each of the outer rows placed on the pallet (7-10), each of said projections (2) having a semicircular section whose radius corresponds to that of said barrels or articles so that the angle is capable of coming to cover them and to form support for the usual strapping tapes (9).

2. Element according to claim 1, characterized in that the edge of the angle iron has notches (5) for retaining the strapping tapes (9).

3. Element according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the outer face of the wing (1) of the angle iron has at each of its ends a relief (6) L-shaped proper to form a guide for stacking pallets.
