Abstract

Over an angular portion of the surface, the internal face of the interlocking sleeve 2 has a flared shape so as to make a housing for a wedge 4 with a corresponding shape. The vertical manipulation of this wedge 4 with the aid of a member 5 axially wedges the element 3 engaged in the sleeve 4. The invention can be applied advantageously to dismantlable garden furniture, for example for fastening table legs.

La présente invention a trait au mobilier à éléments démontables et elle concerne plus particulièrement (car c'est dans ce cas que son application parait devoir présenter le plus d'intérêt), mais non exclusivement, les meubles démontables de jardin et de plein air, tels que tables, bancs, fauteuils, etc.... Claims

1. Fastening device for removable furniture, of the kind comprising a fitting sleeve integral with one of the elements to be assembled and capable of receiving the end of a second element, characterized in that the internal face of the sleeve (2 , 12) has on a part of its surface the same profile as that of the end of the second element (13) while the remainder of this surface widens in order to thus determine a housing substantially in the form of a clean corner receiving a wedge (4, 14) correspondingly profiled and capable of being moved in this housing after fitting of the second element (3, 13) in order to retain the latter by jamming.

2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the wedge (4, 14) is movable longitudinally in the sleeve (2, 12), the housing being silted towards the free edge of said sleeve.

Device according to claim 2, characterized in that the displacement of the shim (4, 14) inside the sleeve (2, 12) is operated using an operating member (5, 15) door rotates through the wall of said sleeve and provided at the end with an eccentric button (5d) engaged in a slot (4a) with an oval profile formed in the wedge.

4. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the wedge (24) moves angularly inside a housing (22d) whose depth is increasing in the radial direction relative to the axis of the part cylindrical of the sleeve (22).

Device according to any one of claims 4 and 5, characterized in that the axial retention of the shim (24) inside the housing (22d, 32d) of the sleeve (22, 32) and its operation in view immobilization or release of the second element are operated using an operating button (25) engaged through a profiled lumen (22d, 32d) formed in the wall of the aforementioned housing.
