Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a rolling device intended for skating on tracks other than ice. (Cement, wood, plastic coating, steel, etc.)
Skating on the above-mentioned tracks is traditionally carried out using skates fitted with four side wheels mounted two by two on either side of the skate. Thus produced, this skate does not allow an expression close to ice skating.
The device according to the invention overcomes this drawback since it includes a rolling device on a single central axis.
The device also has the advantage of being able to be used on tracks of different constitution (cement, wood, plastic coating, steel, etc.) because the device according to the invention allows a quick and easy change of the bearings which must always be appropriate to the nature of the track (metal bearings for hard tracks, plastic or rubber coated bearings for soft tracks).
The locations provided for receiving the bearings can be used in whole or in part (3,4,5,6 or more bearings depending on the construction of the shoe) thus offering the user the possibility of varying the number of these depending on both the track and the desired skating mode.
Figure 1 shows, in section, the device according to the invention.
FIG. 2 represents the internal profile of the pad provided with four bearings (bearing block A and attachment to the shoe, plate-part B).
According to Figures 1 and 2, the lower part of the device consists of two high-resistance metal plates (cheeks left (l) and right (2)) identical face to face. These cheeks have pins (3) in their lower part intended to receive the bearings.
These axes, perfectly integral with the cheeks, allow the bearings (4) to be maintained by bringing the two cheeks face to face.
The assembly is held in place by screws (5) which pass through both the cheeks and the axes of the bearings at various points.
Spacers (6) hold the cheek flat without blocking the bearings.
To allow rotation on the spot on the tip of the skate, the front part of the cheeks is rounded up.
The bearing (4a) housed in this part having a higher position than that of the other bearings allows the shoe to tilt forward.
Alternatively, this bearing can be replaced by a half ball of suitable material.
Discs (7) made of hard material (rubber, plastic) are arranged at the front and rear to ensure either a fulcrum for departure from the front disc) or effective braking (rear disc The method of fixing these discs (clamping between the cheeks) allows, after loosening their axle screw, a modification of their position as they wear. The front disc must be placed high enough relative to the front bearing (4a) so as not to impede the movement of the skater in the event of rotation on the point of the skate.
The upper part of each of the two cheeks forming the rolling block A is extended at two points upwards to form bridges (8) in the form of half cylinders. The assembly of the two cheeks allows the production of two cylindrical bridges which s 'fit into two other fixed cylinders (9) of slightly larger internal diameter and welded on the fixing plates to the shoe (part B).
The skate-plate assembly is held in place by screws (10) passing through the four bridges.
According to a variant, in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, these bridges can be separated to allow the insertion of a damping pad (11) in the cylinders of the plates, allowing damping on reception on the ground during the performing a high jump.
A key (la) crossing the low bridges (bearing block A) circulates in a lumen (13) formed in the bridges of the plates (part B). These keys avoid the separation of the two parts.
(bloc roulant A et platines B).(rolling block A and plates B).
n ter le mode de fonctionement décrit précédemment.(Roulement sur un axe unique).According to another variant, in the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the device according to the invention can be made of a plastic material (injection, molding, etc.) which allows respec
nter the operating mode described above (Rolling on a single axis).
Parts A and B of Figures 1 and 2 will be replaced, according to Figures 4 and 5, by a one-piece body (14) having a lower internal cavity (15) allowing the housing of the bearings (4) at the locations provided. These bearings (4) are adjusted opposite the corresponding lights. The bearings (4) and the block (14) are made integral by means of pins (17) passing through both the block and the bearings and permanently fixed by means of a screw (5).
The front and rear stops (7) then consist of hard material pads screwed directly into the block (14) and can therefore be replaced by simple unscrewing after wear.
