Abstract

Swimming flipper comprising a sandal 10 intended to receive the foot of a swimmer, and a flexible paddle 12, 13 arranged at the front end of this sandal. According to the invention, the flexible paddle 12, 13 is connected to the sandal by means of an articulation device 14 with a horizontal spindle 16 in order thus to occupy either a swimming position, in which it is held practically in line with the sole 18 of the sandal 10, or a walking position, in which it is raised upwards over the front end of the sandal 10 in order to facilitate walking by the swimmer out of the water. This invention applies particularly to flippers used in water sports.
