Abstract

During a skiing trip, routes differ: flat, rapid descent, moguls (bumps), powder snow, crusted snow, etc. Different body positions also correspond to these varied itineraries and different types of snow: the skier almost sits on his heels on a slope with deep snow, but the body is more vertical for traversing flat snow, or is crouched for rapid descents. In order to satisfy the skier, the invention provides a stick which comprises a double handle, advantageously two opposed handles 3, 4.

Description

 During a downhill or ski touring holiday,: the hours of skiing follow each other and are not alike. There are fast descent tracks, bumps, descents on slightly steep routes, crossing passages, flat passages where you push on your sticks, the descent in deep powder, tolerated snow, glazed or the excellent snow.

 To these varied routes and these different snows correspond also different positions of the body we are - almost sitting on the heels in steep deep snow, but the body is more vertical for flat passages or picked up for rapid descents.

 The skier often feels the - need, during a varied ski day, to have more or less long poles according to the terrain, the snow, the slope, his mood or according to his form of the moment.

 This need is met by the ski pole of the present invention. According to the invention, a ski pole has two juxtaposed handles or a double handle at the end of the pole. Thus, the skier, who is forced to have a pair of sticks of 1.20 m as an average length corresponding to his average needs during a day, can he optimize his performance with a pair doing as well 1.25 m than 1.15 m, which corresponds better to the position of his body, the quality of the snow and the terrain it covers.

 Compared to a movable handle, the arrangement of the invention has the advantage of having no play, and it avoids bringing out the end of the stick through the handle, which could be dangerous.

The invention can be carried out both with a wrist strap handle and with a saber type handle. I1 is thus possible
- that the top handle is a classic handle with
and the bottom handle, which does not fit well
a wrist strap, a handle "saber"
- that the overlapping handles are both
opposite saber handles. We then have a handle "saber
double".

 This can be achieved simply by molding two handles one above the other, the location of the palm and fingers preferably being opposite on one and the other handle.

 The single figure of the attached drawing is a sectional view of the upper end of an embodiment of a ski pole according to the invention, according to the opposing fingers option.

 The stick 1 is lined at its upper end with a molded piece 2, defining two handles 3 and 4. This piece has two palm locations 21, 22, two thumb locations 23, 24 - and two guards 25, 26. The two handles thus formed are oriented in opposite directions, which is favorable to the good behavior of the stick and allows a compact realization.

 As noted above, the top handle could be the strap type.

 The handle shape shown is only an example, since it is obvious that any other shape could be adapted.

1. Ski pole, characterized in that it has a handle  double (2), or two juxtaposed handles (3, 4) integral one  the other. 2. Ski pole, characterized in that the two handles (3, 4)  are preferably oriented in opposite directions, the  locations of the palm and fingers being opposite on one  and the other handle. 3. Ski pole according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized  in that the two handles (3, 4) are of the saber type. 4. Ski pole according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized  in that the upper handle (3) is a conventional handle with  strap and the handle (4) at the bottom is a handle of the type  saber.
