Abstract

The invention relates to a module made of rigid black plastic for the cultivation of a young plant requiring maximum cleanliness around it. It has the optimum shape for following the mound of earth and resting on two base plates 2 provided on each side. It is interlocked with the following one by virtue of its tongue hook 4 and totally locked with the hoop 7 introduced straddling two modules and can thus constitute bed lengths as required. The spacings of the holes for the young plants are variable according to the desired cultivation. They are easy to demount and can be stored inside one another and are not subject to deterioration. They can function with drop-by-drop watering and receive clear plastic tunnels. This module according to the invention is intended in particular for the cultivation of strawberry plants, tomatoes or market garden cultivations.

1-DESCRIPTION
Title of the invention: Plastic Modules for Crops: "MPC

A) The present invention relates to the manufacture of rigid plastic module for cultivation on hillocks (strawberries, tomatoes, vegetable crops) or any other plantation requiring constant weeding.

B) The nodule (I) is made of hard, black polystyrene, 3 mm thick curved, 20 CI high by 70 cm wide plus two flat seats (2) 5 cm wide, or 80 cm wide on 1 m, 55 of total length including one overlapping of 5 cm on the ralle side with a hook (4) on the upper part of the curve.

It is provided with ten holes (3) of 8 cm in diameter, distributed on each side before the rounding (the number of these holes and the part can be modified during the production according to the desired culture).

The nodule has a flat hook (4) on the center and at the top male side and a hole of the same length (5) at the other end which allows to connect the nodule to its next, and to lock it in order to make it in fact secured to the following by planting the metal arch (7) in the four holes (6) provided at the four corners of the nodule (this metal arch (7) is standard to maintain the translucent plastic which modulates the solar effect, it does not is therefore not part of the invention).

Laying of cultured nodules: after having worked the soil with a rotovator, preferably, in order to form a mound of loose earth with a height of at least twenty centiseters, take the first nodule, place it on the mound of earth strongly so that the lateral seats (2) are in contact with the ground over their entire length, hook hole side (S) in the direction of laying the other nodules. Lock the hook side (4) in the hole (5) of the nodule already in place with a hoop (7) by lifting the module to be installed in order to present the hook (4) opposite the hole (5). Finally lower it on the mound of earth and flatten it against the previous one. Once in place, push a hoop (7) into the holes (5) of the previous and the next one, which will make the two nodules and ainai perfectly together , the plste-band can be extended at leisure by sections of 1 m, 50.

C) Currently, the most commonly used process is a flexible black plastic unwound continuously and covered on each side with soil to maintain it. In a second time, holes are drilled on demand, into which each plane is introduced. There are many disadvantages. The plowed soil does not give a uniform curve. The plastic curls and tears under the effect of the wind and it sinks in pockets of water or soil, where it grows again as in the smallest cracks. This drawback is even more noticeable in the second year of cultivation (strawberry plants) where the plastic that has spent the winter is even more vulnerable. Finally, on plowing, the black plastic not being removed, it remains in shreds of soil and never completely destroys itself.

D) These nodules are unalterable, they are recoverable, they are easily disassembled in the finished season and they leave the soil clear before the next plowing. They can be stored on top of each other, and even be repaired, with glue and adhesive tape in case of smears.

During cultivation, the weedkiller can be passed through the aisles without risk to the plans.

Drip watering can be provided by placing the hose provided for this purpose at the top of the hill and on the center before the nodules are placed.
